Summary
Q became Ojiro once again to save the Neo Chiyoda population from Magata as a form of repaying for his past sins. However, it turns out that the people aren’t the only ones that suffered because of it.
After the revival, Q suffers from a memory loss as a response to facing the trauma he brought onto himself in Neo Chiyoda. This turn of events takes its toll on Kazuki as well. Q notices, and out of constant worry, his mind digs out the most hidden memories associated with the man.

He quickly got up, ignoring the sting of his cuts being stretched, ignoring the way his blood stained his bed sheets, he quickly pulls the curtains apart to look at his saviour.

Summary
Shadow tries not to feel too disappointed when he wakes up on Earth, in the middle of a large crater in a forest of evergreens, alive and in enough pain that his breath stutters in his chest.
He doesn’t get to die, he thinks, nearly reduced to tears as he stares at the blue sky and tries to remember how to breathe.
This is atonement. He doesn’t get to get away from his pain this easily.
Or; an exploration of Shadow's grief and guilt and fear.
Or; Shadow is no longer property, and he does not know what to do with this knowledge that feels more constricting than freeing.

Shadow’s legs move before he can stop them, barely closing the door behind him as he rushes over, kneeling in front of Sonic to be eye level with him.
He can smell a change in Sonic’s normal heart rate. His heart is racing, even more so than it usually is.
The change in scent sends signals to Shadow’s mind; old, instinctual ones. Ones he hasn’t had in a long time.
HELP HIM! his mind screams. HE’S GOING TO FAINT! ALERT HIM!
He shakes his head, mentally. Sonic doesn’t faint; at least, not that he’s seen.
Sonic’s not Maria.
And this isn’t a medical episode (to his knowledge); it’s a panic attack.
Although, Maria had had a lot of those, too.

OR 3 times Shadow uses his old service animal training to help Sonic, and the 1 time Sonic is able to help Shadow.
