After aiding his sister in saving Albion from the Darkness, the former King Logan embarks on a number of journeys to discover what else lies beyond the pale horizon. On one such journey, Logan is caught in a storm and shipwrecked. As the lone survivor, he washes up on the shores of a strange land, taken in and nursed back to health by strange people.
This land is harsh and cold, but the people are warm and welcoming, and Logan soon learns that they are all Heroes, descendants of the Archon of the Old Kingdom.
