Summary

He’s there to sign a patent but can’t help getting caught up, literally, in his old work. Tornado chasing shenanigans ensue, feelings are had, and possibly a ridiculous confession happens in the pouring rain. There are cows.
Also known as the blatant Twister AU no one asked for or wanted.
Seriously, this follows the 1996 film really closely so if you wanted to watch it and haven't this fic is one big spoiler.

He could hear a wailing scream in the distance, but the ringing in his ears was too loud to care about it. Nails dug into the skin of his neck as he fought against his scent patches, and the noise of surprise around him at the mark present was unimportant as Andrew dug his fingers into it. His alpha screamed, tormented, as Andrew realized what this unmooring feeling meant.
Somewhere, too far away for him to reach, Neil was dead.

The translator’s lips twitched at the comment. “Petra wants you to know how much they have enjoyed watching your team’s success in the American leagues.”
Andrew waits for the rest of the comment to follow. The translator seems set on editing, unfortunately. “Are they paying you well to play diplomat?”
The comment is out before he can stop it. It seems to take the translator by surprise and his mouth twitches into a barely contained grin.
“A certain amount of discretion is expected to keep international relations happy, yes.”
Andrew is intrigued by his honesty. “Tell them that Day would pitch a fit if he knew they found time to watch another countries Exy team. If you have time to watch than you have time to practice, after all.”
He translates perfectly with a smirk at being called out. Andrew watches him closely. If asked, he would say that this man posed a threat. In reality, he enjoyed the way he hadn’t backed down when being caught out.
“Why am I here if you speak the language?” The translator asks in English.

Summary
It takes all of his willpower not to physically react from shock when he finds Piper curled up tightly on Andrew’s chest, King tucked behind the bend in her knees. His surprise is two-fold. First, he can’t believe he slept through another person being added into their bed. And second, he can’t believe that Andrew is actually asleep in his current position. His arm is wrapped tightly around Piper’s shoulders, the entirety of her small upper body resting on his chest. Neil can do nothing but stare in awe at the pair of them. He thinks of how far they've all come, each of them with their own unique struggles, and his sentimentality nearly gets the better of him.
“Staring,” comes Andrew’s low voice, disguised by disuse. All these years, and Neil still doesn’t know how he does that. His eyes aren’t even open. Ridiculous.
A few members of the domestic Andreil household find themselves awake in the middle of the night. In other words, Andrew Minyard is the best father in the universe, and no one will convince me otherwise.

The Neil on screen has just performed some ridiculous move that absolutely should not have ended with a goal but somehow did, and he is immediately met with high-fives from his teammates and an affectionate-looking hug from Travis. Andrew can most certainly be objective, and this exchange looks pretty platonic. But Andrew is also a man attracted to men, and he has to admit that Travis is good looking. Really good looking.
