In 2012, amateur art restorer Alessandra De Lorenzo found twenty-five letters safely hidden in a choral book placed in the library of Praglia Abbey. All written in the autumn and winter of 1529 - 1530, the letters, which mix four different languages, document a love story like no other: a newly initiated priest was receiving them from a desperate lover, who was pleading him to abandon priesthood and resume their relationship.
To study these letters, the language employed within them, and their historical importance, three PhDs were employed: Doctor Pia Romola, Doctor Dimitrios Yannaras, and Doctor Fahd Wardi. These are their findings.

Joe is so singularly bright, and Nicky’s only human, he can’t keep looking at the landscape when he has the sun in his eyes. Joe could probably explain it better, with the perfect imagery to evoke how it isn’t about anything else being less, but about his beloved being more. Nicky’s never been the poetic one. He just knows that when Joe touches him, Joe’s warmth, his glow, his boundless love, fill Nicky’s senses so completely that nothing else matters.
