Summary
A smaller frame off to the side of the fireplace caught his attention. It was draped with black fabric, so that he could not see the picture hid behind.
He knew better than to be curious, but this wasn’t curiosity, he was much too grown for that. This was simply… reconnaissance. Knowledge is power, and the more he knows about his father, the better he can meet his standards.
That was all.
His fingers drifted slowly toward the frame, brushing aside the fabric just barely to see a pair of blue eyes and dark hair—
A giggle caught his attention.

Or, Damian Wayne is dropped off at his father's house and is surprised to see his father lives alone. No servants, no Robin. There's something strange about this house... and he soon learns that while the walls can't talk, the inhabitants that used to live here can... and will.- Language:

Summary
Grayson had put up a picture of the baby on the mantle before he’d left. The baby in the picture had Damian’s eyes and his hair and his mouth was open in a wide, gummy smile.
The very sight of it made Damian nauseated.
Or, Damian got de-aged, but now he's back. Everything should be fine, right? Right?

Summary
“I’m fine,” Dick assured gently, sitting up slightly. “Just a bad night, is all.”
It’s a familiar phrase he has used so often. Whenever the addiction crawls back into his mind, a parasite he can never truly get rid of. The family knows what it means. Knows what the ‘bad’ is. Knows what to do.
“Oh,” Jason says. “Why?”
--
Dick hasn't drank in two years, seven months, and thirteen days. Not that he's counting. Someone should probably tell Jason, the poor guy just wanted some orange juice.

Summary
“Think of it this way,” father said, when he saw Damian’s confusion again. “Punishments and discipline are to make lessons stick, right?”
“I suppose,” Damian agreed tentatively. His grandfather wouldn’t say that. His grandfather would say what he always said: Pain is a god. Its rule is absolute. It shows us the way, it separates right from wrong, weak from strong.
It is grandfather's voice that wins out, later, when his skin splits under his own blade. Pain is a god. And he has been well-educated in all ways of worship.
