Our take on the next chapter of Until The Show's Over by scramblecat.
TK is correct.
The rest of the week does not go great. The Narrator does not come in on Wednesday.
At first, nobody is sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, he is finally resting, which everyone had been trying to get him to do for days. On the other hand, the silence he leaves behind feels wrong, heavy and uncertain, like the theatre itself is waiting for something.
Word spreads quickly through the troupe.

Summary
The Narrator spoke immediately. “Don’t.” The word echoed strangely, layered over itself. “Stanley, you mustn’t go in there.”
Stanley looked at the door. The knob twitched on its own.
The Narrator’s voice lowered. “There’s nothing you need to see.”
