It's the least thing Oscar expects to hear after trying to joke about the multiple edits that claim they're getting divorced after Abu Dhabi, but it's not that it matters. The pain consumes him in a matter of seconds, though. What could he expect?

That’s why when Oscar had reached over and ruffled Lando’s hair at the Christmas party, let his curls slide through the webbing of his fingers, pushing his fingers ever so slightly into his scalp, Lando hadn’t gotten that same disgusted feeling he’d gotten at Abu Dhabi, at the gala. Because Oscar had done it to make fun of it, because it was a joke.
