He even brought his phone, properly charged, to capture whatever nonsense fell out of Jaskier's mouth. Hopefully more nonsense than usual.
What he did not expect was how Jaskier looks when he groggily notices Eskel, and how he lights up, a wide and happy smile, puffed out by the cotton still stuffed in his mouth.
"Wow." Jaskier slurs. "Chou loohk like a somehone."
Eskel smiles, preparing the camera he promised Jaskier not to bring, as Jaskier reaches out and makes grabby hands.
"Mornin, sunshine." Eskel says, indulging them both by letting Jaskier get a hold of his free hand.OR; Eskel thought wrong
