Summary
A roleplay done by me and my bestie about Bloodweave being a sweet good pairing where they are both broken boys who deserve good things and we both have the Bloodweave Brainrot. (Posted with permission, duh) (I play Astarion)
Pointedly not sticking to game events in hardly any natural way. Like...we'll hit the major stuff, but we're avoiding like directly using any scene in the game. Some choice lines will be making an appearance though.

Summary
Like most of Gale’s problems since the Nautiloid, this whole mess is Tav’s fault. He doesn’t know exactly what Tav told Astarion when Gale was out of the room, but he trusts that they didn’t betray his confidence. Probably.
Whatever it is has made Astarion act even stranger than normal and it is threatening Gale’s very carefully curated compartmentalization of his feelings for the man.

Astarion has spent his entire life scamming people. He's also done a good job of convincing himself he doesn't care, and that they're just as awful as he is, and maybe they deserve it. Even if they don't, he can't get away from it. He's trapped under Cazador's thumb. He doesn't think love exists.
Gale has spent the last few years convincing himself that he doesn't need love. Really, he's happy with his day job and his mother and his son. That's enough. Putting himself out there again could hurt. He doesn't think love is worth the risk.
Fate has a funny way of not caring what a person thinks.

He’s not sure what to say. He’s ruined it, he supposes. Astarion’s eyes blink open wide. At first it looks like shock. After that they narrow into something more along the lines of annoyance. Gale should apologize–he opens his mouth to bumble through another round of apologies, but instead Astarion presses close to him again and smashes his lips into Gale’s so hard it knocks his head against the trunk of the tree.
