Summary
In the small town of Hartland, Alastor lives a humble life. His secondhand bookstore, Vintage Verses, along with its attached café is profitable enough to keep him afloat. It's not an easy life, but he's content.
His life takes a turn when a visit to the city results in him bumping into his college situationship partner, Vincent Whittman. College had been a distant part of Alastor's life and he would rather it remain in the past, but with Vincent's insistence, Alastor's faced with the harsh reality of his life choices. To make matters worse, he finds himself the sudden impromptu boyfriend of some blonde stranger. That stranger, as it turns out, happens to be the wealthy investor, Lucifer Morningstar, who recently started renovating Hartland's homestead.
Alastor now finds himself stuck in the middle between a former paramour and a new fake one. And as his life crumbles around him, he's left to question what future awaits him.

Summary
Vassago of the Ars Goetia was a gentle soul. It was unorthodox, really, how Alastor had managed to find a friend in him, but theirs was a friendship that had lasted for decades now. And with each year came their annual visitation.
But with the recent battle against Heaven and the hotel's reconstruction, Alastor decides to celebrate his victory (and survival) by breaking annual tradition and visiting Vassago outside their typical schedule. As Alastor arrives, however, he comes to the realization that he wasn't the only one who could use some good company.
With the recent trial against Stolas and the consequential banishment, Vassago is despondent and uncertain. Thankfully for him, Alastor is better at providing comfort than either of them had ever anticipated.

Alastor hummed, bringing his own teacup to his lips. The steam wafting from the drink fogged up his monocle as Alastor took a sip. It was perfectly delicious and fragrant as the flowers all around them.
“Indeed. It seems then that you were simply waiting for worthy company.”

Summary
It felt like a bad dream, watching the King of Hell flapping his wings outside the huge window Vox had planted Alastor in front of, right before leaving to 'take care of more important matters'. A cosmic joke – that he would show up now, a look of almost absent curiosity on his face as his gaze roamed over the flashing LED's and the reflections of Pentagram City below.
A bad dream – or a nightmare, for Alastor's throat roiled with bitter bile when those eyes finally managed to pick him out amongst the other distractions. Lucifer's face lit up in a smug grin, the king drifting closer – close enough to tap on the glass like Alastor was some creature in a zoo.
His lip curled. He shouldn't have reminded himself of the phrasing.

Summary
Once upon a time, Lucifer was minding his own goddamn business, living a perfectly normal life – one that he was very happy with, thank you very much.
That perfectly normal life – that he was very happy with – was abruptly turned on its head by the arrival of a mysterious fae, calling himself ‘Alastor’.
It turns out that normal life gets a lot harder to manage when you’ve got an almost mythical creature following you around, insisting he’s ‘helping.’ Lucifer isn’t sure how almost getting him arrested is meant to be any kind of help at all – but he has to admit, there is something about this man. Fae. Creature? Something about Alastor.
Something that seems to draw him in, an elusive sense of belonging that he’s never really had. The question is – can he prevent himself from throttling Alastor long enough to figure out what it is?

Summary
Alastor, Lord of the Autumn Court, is in a contract that will force him to wed Vox, Lord of the Winter Court, at the beginning of his fiftieth year as King. The contract demands that he be married before the Winter Solstice, but that no Fae save Vox may claim his hand, nor he theirs.
Lucifer Magne is a widower and newly single father struggling to pull his life back together in the wake of his beloved wife's passing.
Alastor's oldest friend, Husk, is seeking a loophole to save him from the betrothal before time runs out. The contract never forbade Alastor from seeking a mortal bride, after all.
