Summary
Feeling the need to contribute to post-war galactic civilization, Castis Vakarian rejoins C-Sec after the war, and his daughter eventually talks him into trying to date again. He doesn’t have much luck until he has a chance encounter with a human woman. If his son wasn’t involved with the most famous human woman in the galaxy, Castis probably wouldn’t have looked twice at Hannah. He ends up quite glad he did, even if it turns out far more complicated than he could have thought possible.

Summary
Garrus Vakarian was not the type of man to get jealous.
One would assume so, given both his insecurities and the general stance within turian culture - but his trust in Shepard was absolute. He knew her better than the back of his own hand, and he never had to doubt her word. He couldn’t even imagine it. Being her partner in both the battlefield and private was a dream come true, even if he had a shoddy grasp of romance at best.
That being said, some thoughts still kept him up at night, like all the things that made him a horrible fit for Shepard - frankly, he just couldn’t help but wonder when whatever magic that made her choose him would shatter and Shepard finally came to her senses. He wouldn't blame her.
