Summary

Meanwhile, Albert pushes for something more permanent of his own with Hannibal, even as he notices the piercing eyes of Will Graham watching him with something very like jealousy.
Hannibal manages the games he’s laid out for himself with his usual aplomb, and plans a fitting return for his alter-ego to the spotlight. His nemeses – Jack Crawford and Will Graham – wait for his first move with bated breath.
Meanwhile, a clever young sadist puzzles at the game she’s been handed, and the fate of an innocent child lies firmly in her hands. While a crusader hunts her for information on the recent death of Councilor Simmons.
As the games wear on, the question presses: Who will eat whom? Well that entirely depends on who slips up first.

At first, Stone couldn’t help but laugh. There he was, smelling distinctly of sewage standing in the middle of London after climbing out of the fucking Thames like some cracked out version of Aquaman, watching the end of the love of his life. Ironic, wasn't it?
TLDR: In which Agent Stone deals with the aftermath of Robotnik's death in the least healthy way possible, gets a pep talk from some enemies, and finds comfort in a little black hedgehog who has worse coping mechanisms than he does.

A few extra moments can change everything. Stone's conversation with Shadow goes on for a bit longer, which makes Shadow decide to save Robotnik.
However, Stone doesn't know this. He believes the Doctor to be dead and wants revenge. He wants to kill Sonic and his friends, believeing them at fault for the Doctor's death.
He'll do what Robotnik never managed to do- kill them and rule the world. And once he's done, Robotnik will be worshipped like he should. Stone will let nothing stop him.

Shadow, in a haze, pulls Robotnik's body out of the ship before it implodes, but both are blasted backward in two different directions. Stone found Shadow and took him in, but the two are both on the hunt to find Ivo- who's tracker showed signs of a heartbeat- before it's too late.
Shadow has to decide between finding Sonic, someone he longs to see again, and finding his sister's cousin, someone he knows neither of them could healthily live without.
