Summary
“Cool! Cool.” Steve appears keenly aware of the oddness of their situation— the king talking to the peasant— but tries to shake it off, eyebrows furrowed in focus. “Okay, so, I just have to ask: you need lighting to take a photo, right? You can’t just— take one in the dark?”
Jonathan could lie to him. He could so, so easily lie to him. Dispel his doubts, that there was someone with a camera in his bushes last night. But for some reason, he hesitates.
Jonathan glances down, pushing hair out of his eyes a bit awkwardly. “Well… no. Film cameras, their settings can be adjusted, so that you can shoot in dimmer environments.” He feels daring, and looks back up. “Why do you ask?”
God, he’s going to hell.

Summary
“What?” Steve says, cluelessly- a little irritated, now. “What is it?”
“You don’t even know. Oh my god.” Nancy has to laugh. She laughs, and laughs, for a good while, and Steve just frowns in response.
“You and Robin really are a match made in heaven.” He mutters darkly, not finding it in himself to get annoyed at her, despite how much little sense she's making. “You guys deserve eachother, man.”
Or, Steve and Nancy concoct a half-baked scheme to get together again, just to make Robin and Jonathan jealous.
And, of course, it fails. Miserably.

“No, you guys, this is insane. Insane!” Jackie laughs- she has to laugh or she thinks she might cry. “God, you know what, whatever. I don't want to think about this right now. Which way to the cabin?”
Akilah freezes. Lottie’s eyes widen imperceptibly. What now?
“It’s gone. Coach Scott burned it down.” Akilah says, meekly. “Or at least, that’s what people think? I’m not sure. He confessed, but some of the others thought he didn’t do it.” She heaves a sigh, gesturing to the left, beginning to plod through the snow. “It’s gone now, and- and he’s gone too, but, well… camp is this way.”
A gentle hand lands on Akilah’s shoulder. “No.” Lottie says breathlessly, voice soft, words meant only for her. “No, Akilah. We should take her the other way, steer closer to the others. To the hunt.”
Or, what if the Wilderness bestowed upon them one last miracle?
What if it gave them back their captain?

It was just supposed to be a normal mission.
In and out, quick and easy- for Double Black, anyway. If Mori had sent grunts they wouldn’t have lasted seconds with this particular Ability user, who seemed to enjoy slinging interdimensional frisbees at her enemies.
How annoying… but Dazai couldn’t help the smile tugging at his lips. This woman and her backup sure were giving his dog trouble, and it was kinda fun watching Chuuya struggle for once… battles like this were normally a cinch for him.
Little did he know, he'd soon wind up in a very different Japan from the one he knew, where Special Abilities were instead "Quirks," and Heroes and Villains ran rampant all over the globe.
...Good grief, Mori was gonna be PISSED at him if he ever made it back.

Tenna blinked, not expecting the question. “Oh! Uh, I suppose it depends… it’s, er…” He laughed awkwardly again, rubbing the back of his neck. “A bit of a sensitive area? So doing it myself can be difficult. It’s not all that complicated, though.”
“You don’t say.” Spamton’s eyes glinted, and he placed his empty glass on the table with a soft clink. “You know, Ant, I could help you out with it, if you’d like. You could say I’m… familiar with the CRT instruction manual.”
Tenna stiffened completely, hand frozen on the back of his neck. There was- there was no way Spamton was really suggesting that, was he? He must’ve misheard him.

Summary
Beside Bethany’s desk in the corner of the classroom is one of the newest paintings in the classroom, depicting a girl not much older than Bethany herself. Brown hair curls below her shoulders, and there’s a smile painted on her face, covered in a warm golden glow from a light just out of frame.
It’s her favorite painting by far.
The artist, Will Byers, is a man who grew up only a few miles away from Bethany’s small town. In all his artwork, he always depicts the same girl. In most of them, she looks about the same age as the painting stapled in Bethany’s classroom, but in some she’s younger, with shorter hair and a softer face.
Hundreds of paintings and drawings, yet the girl never looks older than sixteen.

“I just, uh—” Mike pauses, running his fingers along the knit of his beanie, gaze intently focused on the hat in his hands, “I wanted to say that… what you said back there? It was brave. Really brave.”
A pause. Mike chances a look at his friend's face. It’s frustratingly impossible to read.
“Oh.” Will says.
“I don’t think I could ever do something like that,” Mike confesses, before his eyes widen, “Not that I’m— No, I’m not like you. I am, but just not like that. Not that that’s bad, it’s just I’m— I like El. Girls. I—”
“Mike.”
“I like El.” He’s not quite sure who he’s trying to convince.

Summary
Joanna knows what’s wrong with her—she knows she’s not normal. She knows she doesn’t belong anywhere, and although she’s starting to be proved wrong, she’s still not used to it. And she knows, most importantly of all, that she’s not supposed to look at Stevie Harrington the way she does.
That doesn’t mean she doesn’t still do it.(gender-swapped Steve Harrington and Jonathan Byers--aka Stevie and Joanna--and the gaps between seasons.)
