Klee realized Kaeya was distressed about the mission. Klee blew up Good Hunter's stove on purpose to get them grounded and cancel their trip. Klee knows better than to blow stuff up inside the city walls – she was there with the man who wrote her Rules of Survival.

Summary
After Crepus dies and Diluc leaves, Kaeya loses his home yet again - then gives in to the impulsive urge to hang onto at least some version of his home however he can. So, he gets a back tattoo of Dawn Winery, with Dragonspine towering over it, framed by grapevines and Crystalflies. Of course, immediately after its completion it seems like every Hilichurl and Abyss Mage in Mondstadt is trying to back attack Kaeya and ruin his tattoo. Eerily enough, however, the scars actually suit the design. Because life isn't just altering Kaeya's ink - at times it almost seems to be altering itself to match the designs on his skin.

After an unfortunate accident, Kaeya becomes a child, slowly losing his memories of his estranged brother and home. Diluc is determined to do whatever is necessary to get his brother back, and restore the Cavalry Captain back to his former self.
But will the Fatui's sinister plot be more than either of them or the Knights can handle?

Summary
Kaeya kept himself behind a carefully constructed wall so that no one would ever become too close to him and get burned like Diluc did ever again. Seemingly transparent, yet unreachable in reality. When he's ambushed out in the wild and finds the breath fading from his lungs, he thinks that it's almost not too bad. As long as Mondstadt is safe and Diluc is happy...what's the problem?
And then he wakes up. Younger than he should be, different, and everyone who sees him looks like they've seen a ghost because Kaeya of House Ragnvindr died fending off the drake that should have killed Crepus. Diluc and Crepus refuse to let go of him now that he's appeared to rise from the dead. Kaeya is different from what they remember - he pushes people away, or tries to - but neither his sanity nor his resolve can keep up his guard around his own family.
What's going on? Why is everything different? Why has his life completely changed?
Maybe none of it matters. Maybe the only thing that matters is the fact he can start over and fall blindly back into the warmth and care he thought was gone forever. His father, and Diluc...who feels more deeply for him than he ever would have thought.
