Summary
The goblin on Astarion’s back shrieks. Its weight shifts, the bow creaks. The drow twists and an eldritch blast flashes, black and vicious, through the air faster than the crack of its thunder can follow, and suddenly Astarion is free, the goblin thrown from his back with the force of the blast.
Sometimes Hope comes barreling in with a long sword, gleefully murders a bunch of goblins, and then refuses to look him in the eye. As is the way of Astarion's rotten luck.

Since she had drawn the wrong conclusion, Vegeta would set the record straight for her.
Faster than she could follow his movements, he shot up from his seat to stand across from her. He trapped her by placing his hands on the kitchen counter behind her, her hips bumping against his inner-forearms. She drew in a sharp breath, pushing her chest out, and stared at him with her big, blue eyes.
“I assure you, I’ve been trying no such thing,” he growled.

Summary
Via Raditz’s broken scouter, Bulma tries to recover access to Planet Trade networks and technologies to get an upper hand against the androids. But in so doing, she discovers Raditz’s private files—writings and recordings he kept for himself over his long travels with Vegeta and Nappa under Freeza. Tales of their exploits and descent into madness come to change her perception of Vegeta and her relationship with him.
Homeworld Lost is a novel-length dark science-fantasy story with explicit violence, horror, and erotica (sometimes simultaneously). Generally canon compliant. Explores Vegeta’s backstory under the Planet Trade Organization and his fraught relationships with his comrades, particularly the twisted bond he and Raditz share. Most of the story is narrated by Raditz, but there are lots of twists. He is an unreliable narrator, and in places, altered mental states allow him to take other points of view. We also get interludes from Bulma as she reads and reacts to Raditz's account.

When he looks in the mirror with Megumi’s face, he sees Itadori Yuuji instead and seethes over ruined opportunity.
