Summary
"Antagonising him counts as getting along?"
"Oh, that wasn't antagonising!" Alistair insisted, but the sparkle in his eye said otherwise. "That was…friendly banter."
Elissa laughed softly. "I'm sure he didn't see it that way."
"No, perhaps not."
The way he smiled was disarming. Not that Elissa had spent time with Grey Wardens, but she knew enough soldiers, and this young man with his playful grin and big brown eyes didn't strike her as a hardened warrior. He was tall, though, and so very broad under his armour.
Elissa Cousland never wanted to be queen. With the murder of her family, and little choice but to follow the Grey Warden who saved her life, Elissa finds herself one of the last two wardens in Ferelden. All they have to do is uncover a treasonous conspiracy, restore order to the throne, and stop the blight...all of which seems far easier than denying her growing feelings for bastard prince of Ferelden who won't stop smiling at her.

“This place feels like a prison…”
Cullen turned, his head tilted when he looked Evelyn directly in the eye. She’d spoken aloud.
“It is not a prison. The Gallows is a circle tower like any other,” he told her curtly. “You and all mages are here for your protection, as well as others.”
Evelyn frowned. She’d heard this rhetoric many times in her life as a circle mage. For a while, she may have even believed it, but nothing about the Gallows felt like it was for her protection.
What if the Commander of the Inquisition and the Inquisitor had met before the events of the Conclave?
As the tensions in Kirkwall begin to rise without an elected Viscount, Evelyn Trevelyan is transferred to The Gallows. With the Templar Order splintering into factions under Meredith's paranoia, and Orsino losing his grip on his authority, the last thing Evelyn needs is growing feelings for the Knight-Captain. Especially one who seems determined to keep her at arms length...

Summary
"The Silverite Society is a very exclusive club that caters to those with our tastes. Expect debauchery and nudity."
It was fortunate Dorian wasn't present to witness Evelyn's eyes bulging. "A sex club?! Dorian, have you just put in a recommendation for Cullen and me to be members of a sex club?"
"You're welcome."
In their years together, Evelyn Trevelyan and Cullen Rutherford have found some enjoyable pastimes behind closed doors. Now, thanks to an invitation to an exclusive club where the elite of Thedas come to play, they're about to learn about a whole new social scene.
A spiritual sequel to "At Your Order".

"Papa, I want to be a Templar."
Cullen went still. So still, if it weren't for the rise and fall of his chest, Evelyn would have presumed he'd turned to stone on the spot. A heartbeat of thick silence passed before Cullen spoke.
"No."
"But Papa—"
"No, Cael," he repeated firmly, standing from his seat. "It is not an option."
At twelve years old, Cullen and Evelyn's youngest son declares he wants to join the Templar Order, and predictably, Cullen has feelings about it

Summary
Hawke peered around them, the stairs to the Viscount's keep looming nearby. Even with an estate in Hightown and bestowed an honorary title, she always felt a little out of place in the more affluent areas. Stinking of booze, all she wanted to do was crawl back into bed and sleep it off as the Maker would have intended.
"What are we even doing here?" Hawke whined. "Let me go and die in peace, will you?"
Isabela turned to the stairs. "You know as well as I do, before you can start a job, a little research needs to be done."
"Research…on what?"
The grin that stretched across Isabela's face didn't reassure Hawke.
"Guardsman Donnic."
Suspecting that Aveline could do with some companionship, a night of drinking leads to Isabela dragging Hawke into her scheme to hook up Kirkwall's guard captain with the man she's pining for. Unfortunately for Hawke, that just means more drinking...

Summary
It was the formality of the letter that struck him first. With every word, the pristine paper crumpled under his grip, forever leaving indents that couldn't be smoothed. Cullen's frown deepened when he dropped the letter on his desk.
Advisor and beyond. As if she couldn't dare write what they once were. Then again, he lost the right to be annoyed the moment he stepped away from the Inquisition as he did.
Duty broke them. Having seen too much, still needing to heal from his trauma, Cullen Rutherford stepped away as Commander of the Inquisition. Having lived for two years in South Reach, he never expected to hear from the ex-Inquisitor, let alone have her turn up at his door...

Summary
Lady Pentaghast,
When you informed me I would be the Commander of an army, I assumed certain provisions would already be in place…soldiers, for instance.
Instead, you’ve given me a group of farmers and stable boys who barely know which end of a sword to hold. How am I supposed to work with this?
C. Rutherford.
Cullen,
Never call me Lady Pentaghast again.
Cassandra.
The Inquisition could never function without a hard working, long suffering band of messengers and ravens ferrying missives between their superior officers.
A companion piece to Safe and Sound, told in letters, memos, notes, and missives between our favourite characters

Summary
“I wasn’t completely idle waiting for you. I, uh, borrowed some books from Dorian,” she began tentatively, gauging his reaction. “They were…interesting.”
“Magical theory again?”
“Not quite. Closer to sexual theory, actually.”
His eyebrows couldn’t have raised any higher had he tried, practically hitting his hairline with widened eyes, but he didn’t look horrified, so it was a start.
“You—sexual theory?” He repeated, his usually deep voice strained and hitched, but his eyes darkened in a way that made her stomach flip.
She nodded, licking her bottom lip. “There are some things I might be interested in trying…”
A curious ex-Circle mage is determined to free her ex-Templar lover from the bonds of his sexual repression with the help of a certain Tevinter's advice, a good book, and a lot of experimentation

Cullen shrugged. “I don’t get ill.”
Evelyn turned to him fully, her brow raised quizzically.
“You…don’t get ill?”
“No.” Cullen shook his head. “Lyrium doesn’t count. I don’t tend to get unwell; I can’t remember the last time I was ill. Maybe when I was a child.”
“Never? Not even the sniffles? A light cough? Sore throat?”
“No.”
There's a bug going around Skyhold, and guess which Commander is about to catch it?

Summary
“When you go to Kirkwall, I want to come with you.”
Evelyn placed the reports on her desk slowly, his words and the implications sinking in. She turned to him, her smile faded and eyes narrowed.
“You do?” She asked carefully. “You want to come with me to Kirkwall?”
Her hesitation wasn’t surprising. Of the long nights they’d spent talking in the dark, wrapped in one another where it was safest, he’d said more than once he never intended to return. He’d foolishly declared himself healed; there was no need to open old wounds.
But even stitched together, a wound could still be infected. Sometimes reopening to clean out the rot was the only way forward.
When Inquisitor Evelyn Trevelyan is invited to Kirkwall by Sebastian Vael on a diplomatic visit, Cullen realises the only way he'll close that chapter of his life is to go back and face it for himself.
How much is a peaceful future worth opening old wounds?

“I know what you’re doing. It’s not going to work.”
She smiled sweetly at him, releasing another button of her blouse. “I’m sure I don’t know what you mean.”
“You absolutely do,” he growled, moving a knight. “You never wear a skirt.”
Evelyn moved her leg, exposing more of her bare thigh to him. “What a coincidence, I’m not wearing anything underneath either.”
With her lover being so skilled at chess, Evelyn Trevelyan does anything she can to gain the advantage. Sometimes it backfires (and she's not sorry in the slightest)

“Evie, darling. This is an intervention.”
“An intervention?!”
“Yes. It’s about your clothes.”
Evelyn couldn’t hide the indignant pout on her face, self-consciously smoothing the old blouse she wore only to find a hole near her waist.
“My clothes? What’s wrong with them?”
Dorian, Vivienne, and Josephine all shared a look before giving her their full attention.
Inquisitor Evelyn Trevelyan wasn't always the well dressed and put together head of the Inquisition we all know and love. She required a little help from her friends (against her will.)
You know what they say, clothes maketh the man...or woman, in this case.

Summary
The ominous clouds, dark and foreboding, had rolled over Skyhold from midmorning. By noon, the fortress was awash with the heaviest rain and sleet Cullen had seen in months. So heavy he could barely see in front of him as he left the rotunda to take the walkway to his office.
Something caught his eye.
Someone.
There, in the deserted courtyard, stood Evelyn. No, not standing. She was twirling. It was difficult to see through the heavy sheets of rain, but her arms were in the air, and she was…laughing?
The Inquisitor. The Herald of Andraste. Lady Evelyn Trevelyan was dancing in a torrential downpour.
She was going to catch her death from the cold, and she was laughing.
For the life of him, Cullen can't understand why the Inquisitor always gets caught in the rain and, on this occasion, ends up stuck in his office in clothes that are simply too wet to continue wearing. He offers her some of his.
He's a gentleman, you see...

“Be that as it may, I have come up with the perfect way to capitalise on our success: the Inquisition will accept Empress Celene’s invitation to the Winter Palace.”
“Invitation…to do what? A ball?”
“Not just a single ball, Inquisitor. Many! Over the course of two weeks. A grand victory celebration where you will be able to meet the suitors who have been vying for your attention.”
Evelyn blinked at her, blue eyes impossibly wide. “Pardon?”
Two weeks at the Winter Palace where the Inquisitor and Commander are expected to meet all manner of nobility desperate to claim a betrothal, all while Josephine tries her best to keep the Inquisition's alliances intact. There's only one problem...
Evelyn Trevelyan and Cullen Rutherford have been secret lovers going on a year...

“Sweet Maker! Evelyn, what in the world are you doing?”
Her giggle echoed beneath the ridiculous helm she wore, blue eyes shining in the dullness through the lion’s mouth. Her naked body was draped in burgundy satin trimmed in dark fur.
Evelyn finds a very interesting piece of armour in Cullen's room while he's sleeping and knows just how to take advantage.

“This world will try and take your spirit. It will make you hard as ice if you let it. Don’t, my girl. You need to be the light when all other lights go out.”
Evelyn doesn’t hate Templars on principle, but it's ridiculous that this one has her feeling like a lovesick trainee, despite her being the only hope Thedas has of closing the breach and stopping a would-be god from destroying all they know. Cullen, on the other hand, can't understand how a mage of a fallen circle can be so kind to him when he doesn't know how to be kind to himself.
Courtship would be far easier if it wasn't for the small matter of saving the world.
Evelyn Trevelyan and Cullen Rutherford, from beginning and beyond.

The Inquisitor has fallen
The exact wording on the note that lands on his desk. Four words that, if common knowledge, would send the Inquisition into a frenzy. As it is, Cullen’s heartbeat hasn’t slowed since the messengers arrived. It hammers against his ribs painfully, his stomach churning. He reads it multiple times in seconds, the chair behind his desk falling back with the force of his stance.
In which words have certain meanings and those writing them should know better than to send such a message to a highly strung Commander.

“I don’t think I need to tell you how women can get information from men, Erso.”
“And I don’t think I need to tell you how I will not be doing that!” She snaps.
“And why not?”
“I’m sure you can take a guess, he’s standing in the room next to me.”
Draven pinches the bridge of his nose, huffing an exasperated sigh. “This is why I don’t like couples working in the field together…”
The Rebellion is forever moving. Taking chance after chance until they win or the chances are spent.

“Cass! I’m so glad I found you.”
He fights a groan. As cheerful as Bodhi sounds and as much as he values his friend, a statement like that usually means there’s something he needs to take care of.
“Bodhi, why is that?”
He’s going to say it. Cassian can feel it in his bones.
“It’s Jyn…”
He said it.
It isn't the first time Cassian has had to drag Jyn back to her room after an ill-advised drinking contest, but this time his partner in crime is far more chatty. He's pretty sure Jyn won't remember what she said in the morning anyway...pretty sure.

“You might be the only person that Andor trusts implicitly!” Hera snorts. “It’s nothing to do with trust. Men like Cassian, don’t manage fear well. Instead of simply sharing ‘I’m afraid something happens to you’, they lash out and speak in harsh words.”
When Jyn is drafted into a mission with the Pathfinders, Cassian's insecurities about being promoted and out of field work has him struggling and Jyn indignant. Luckily, General Syndulla has some words of wisdom for Jyn...
