"Had a girl last month, this gorgeous thing—lawyer, real buttoned-up type—let me tie her to my headboard and didn't leave for two days." She says it like it's a point of pride.
Jesus Christ. You shift your weight, pressing your thighs together, hoping she doesn't notice. Pretty sure she does notice, based on the way her eyes gleam.
"That supposed to impress me?" you ask, going for unaffected and landing somewhere closer to breathless.
"Is it working?" Stan's smile is pure sin now, all teeth and trouble and absolute certainty. She knows it's working. She can probably read it all over your face.

The first two chapters are Ford discovering Stan’s not doing great and convincing him to accept help; and the last 4 chapters are Stan and Ford working through the aftermath together. The last 4 chapters are fairly short, but I kinda wanted them to be more like snippets anyway. So if you don’t like short lil chapters… idk I’m sorry. (I just saw a TikTok about how annoying short chapters are and now I’m paranoid lol, can you tell?)
