Summary
Fives turns back to eye him suspiciously, nearly stumbling over his own feet. Kix opens his mouth, closes it again. There’s a little voice inside of him, faint and distant like a particularly staticky transmission, and it’s trying to tell him something. It’s similar to the same feeling that tugs at him when he’s treating a nasty wound, the one that whisper-shouts at him to put pressure here or mix the antidote like that— a muffled but bone-deep instinct that comes from somewhere other than just his training.
It’s as close to screaming as he’s ever heard now, telling him quite clearly that if he lets Fives out of his sight tonight, he will never see him again.
Kix refuses to let Fives out of his sight after their meeting at 79s. Meanwhile, Fox grows increasingly desperate in his search, Cody wants nothing more than to help all his brothers, and Fives can’t figure out why he feels so odd now that his chip is gone.*this was the first fic written in the series and can be read as a standalone! not necessary to read the others if you don't want to.*

Stone presses a hand over the wound and breathes through the pain. Wheels had him recently, then, but this isn’t the medbay. This is the command barracks, a place he should have recognized immediately but didn’t, because there’s something starkly different about the familiar space. It takes Stone nearly two minutes of slow breathing and confused blinking before he realizes what’s making the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
The sunlight, streaming brightly through the tiny window set high in the wall. He has never been in this room at such an hour, has never seen the way the sun hits the command barracks at midday.
Why is he asleep in the command barracks at midday?
Thire takes a risk to protect Stone during the war.

It had been delivered automatically to his datapad the moment he’d been assigned the last Guard CMO’s frequency—Page, Wheels reminds himself. His name was Page, and Mouse came before him, and Galen, and Riley. At first, Wheels had thought this doc was just a series of notes they thought would prove helpful, but the notes were increasingly interspersed with ominous theories and dire warnings.

His days are somehow complicated and simple, that constant litany of hurry up and wait every soldier hates knowing but still, there's a rhythm to it and he's as settled as a person in his place can be. But he has a problem, see, there's a mission coming up. He has to look at the troopers he's known for years, the ones he calls his vode, his siblings, and he has to pick one knowing no matter how good they are, no matter how skilled, this is one mission they won't come back from.
"Can I help you, soldier?" Cody asks the trooper at his door, armour just barely painted yet scuffed enough they can't be a shiny.
"I'm here to volunteer, sir."

It was the same smile that graced Bly’s own face after every one of his breakups. It was the same smile on so many of his siblings’ faces as they all realized that something was missing.
The war was over. Palpatine was exposed as the mastermind and killed. The Clone Rights Bill was passed. The Clones are free to do whatever they want. So why can't most of the clones settle? Why does something feel wrong. Why does something feel missing ?

There's a reason that the experimental cadets of Batch 99 don't go anywhere alone when they can help it. Tech is heading back to their barracks after a solo training exercise when he's ambushed in the hall by the usual bullies and faces them alone until Hunter appears. Even with his big brother there to protect him, Tech has a feeling that the trouble has just begun.
Hunter snarled and took another step backward, pushing Tech close to the wall and shielding him from the other cadets, who were all quite aware of their advantage in age and height.
“Leave him ALONE.”
Hunter was growling now. Tech knew that was never good.

“Don’t be.” Echo’s voice was hushed and soft, his baritone lowered to what he thought would be a manageable decibel level. Based on Tech’s rushed and very jargony explanation of Hunter’s senses that he’d sat through before he’d been allowed to take guard duty, he had a feeling that even a whisper was going to feel like a bomb exploding in the tracker’s eardrums.

Crosshair was positioned on a distant watchtower as the 501st and the Bad Batch stormed an enemy compound. As a last blow to the Republic, the commander of the fort activated a self-destruct sequence that blew up all buildings, including the watchtower, and the Bad Batch watched in screaming horror as Crosshair and the tower went up in a blaze of fire and smoke. The four remaining brothers are like dead men in the camp later that night, with Rex unsure what to do as they all seem to walk around in a daze. Finally, Echo stumbles off to grieve alone…

Echo stared at the batchers, currently snuggled into a pile. “Are they dead?”
“Obviously not, as they are breathing,” Tech answered. “It was the storm.”
Hunter's scared of storms?"
"No. He is affected by the lightning."
Chapter One: After an electrical storm, Echo finds out just how sensitive Hunter is to electricity.
Chapter Two: After a mission ends with three Batchers in the med bay, Echo maintains his vigil over his wounded siblings. Then he gets a call from Rex and realizes Hunter might have been hiding more than a migraine.
Chapter Three: Hunter didn't make it back to the Marauder. Echo goes looking for him after Rex's call, hoping his injuries aren't as bad the captain thinks. They're not -- they're worse.
Chapter Four: In medical, Kix and the other medics try to decode what exactly is wrong with Hunter, but his enhancements are classified and Tech is still in bacta. Echo and Rex delve deeper into the mystery of the 99s and learn more than they wanted to know.
Chapter Five: Hunter wakes up and Echo finds out why the tracker received the brunt of the attack. He can't be angry, though, when his adopted sibling needs him.
