It’s been a few months since Korra’s surprise return to Asami’s life and since then, Asami had kept her promise. She paid for Korra to fly back to the city. It was thrilling, and yet terrifying at the same time. While Korra’s entrance was grandiose, Asami made a vow to herself that she would proceed with patience. She did love Korra, all those years apart only made her long for her more, but she told herself that she mustn’t rush into this. Asami desperately wanted this to work, wanted it to be real, and not be some large, glorified nostalgia trip. In order for that to happen, however, she remained an arm's distance from Korra, much to both dismay.

Korra placed down the dumbbell and walked toward the other end of the room to grab a fresh towel. As she wiped her face and lowered her towel, she saw Asami standing in the door frame. If she wasn’t warm before, she definitely was now since the sight of Asami in an elegant and sultry dress immediately flushed Korra’s face. Eyes widened, mouth agape, she tried swallowing the lump in her throat as she watched Asami strut her way toward her.
“When did…,” was all Korra was able to mutter out before Asami spoke to her.
