Summary
Long before rumored Antichrists and the end nearing, there was a garden and an angel named Aziraphale.
He had seen humanity through its infancy and given away his sacred sword, no one the wiser of his crime.
He looked over humanity with wonder and love, despite the evils he had witnessed and felt on a personal level, he felt like a doting parent watching over them. Or maybe, more appropriately, an older sibling their mother had tasked with looking over them until they could be returned to her and her kingdom.
Humanity and his love for them would be the reason for his fall but he never gave up hope he too would be allowed to return home to his mother one day.
Her one true son had walked through the halls of hell as well and been allowed to return to her arms, he often prayed that same fate would be for him too.
She forgave all and that was the only thing that kept him going.

Summary
Post armageddidn’t, Aziraphale and Crowley think of a way they can prank their respective bosses: division of miracles. Aziraphale goes overboard with sexual miracles, especially kinky ones, and Crowley goes overboard with romantic ones.
After a few months, it gets to a point that both bosses are done. They wish they could stop this, but they are honestly terrified of their respective "immune-to-destruction" employees, so they just have to deal with it. But they don't want to read this shit anymore.

Summary
Starting a torrid affair means that Crowley and Aziraphale get to experience all the joys of love a human could possible feel. But given that angels and demons have other, celestial bodies, it stands to reason that those can be enjoyed as well.
As such a dalliance is without precedent, there really was no way for Aziraphale to know that there might be consequences. Specifically consequences in the shape of a half angel, half demon child without a corporation and no chance of approval from Heaven or Hell.

Summary
The angel was a traitor... just like the Demon Crowley. And if they both had both been on Earth for millennia, battling it out, then this angel must be quite strong. Crowley was the Serpent of Eden, after all, clearly incredibly powerful and competent if Hell had assigned him to Earth for so long. So to match Crowley, Aziraphale must also be remarkably powerful and competent.
But not even incredible power could save an angel from Hellfire. Nothing could. So Aziraphale’s power couldn’t possibly explain why he was so calm, so utterly collected in the face of complete destruction.

It being a large, black snake curled up on a chair in the last patches of quickly fading sunlight.
Elena jerked to a stop with a gasp, right in the middle of the pavement. She all but pressed her face to the window, studying the snake curiously. It was quite large, even coiled as it was in its big leather armchair, and although its golden eyes appeared to be open, she could tell that it was probably snoozing. “What a beautiful creature,” Elena said to herself in a hushed, awed voice, and then made the snap decision to go inside the shop for another look.

Soulmates seemed like a good idea at first, to the angels. If people share the same scars as their soulmate, there's no mistaking they are supposed to be with each other. But when one of their own suddenly has the same scars that mark a demon, it's like their greatest fears have been realized. Aziraphale is sent to Earth as an outcast, hoping one day he'll meet his soulmate, even if Heaven wouldn't like it. But when the same being keeps rescuing him and hanging out for 6000 years... it's hard not to fall in love.

Due to Crowley's firm conviction that "he need never know", Aziraphale has, for all the time they've known each other, been blissfully unaware of the obedience curse Crowley's been looping holes around since 4004 BC.
You can't really blame him, is the point. Aziraphale had no idea what his unthinking words might do, and is already planning to apologise profusely at dinner...
...which might get a little tricky, seeing as Crowley has just been sighted in the vicinity of Pluto, and has concrete orders to never show his face on earth.

There is a ritual to the casting out of a rebellious angel, a ritual which was perfected during the Great Rebellion. When angels first began to drop through the firmament during the first war ever staged, they would try to fly back. Many succeeded, grasping onto the edges of the holes, wings flapping desperately as they tried to pull themselves back up. So the ones doing the casting out decided to prevent these rejects from crawling back into Heaven.
OR: When Crowley-Who-Was-Not-Yet-Crowley fell, he landed on his back.
