“Aw, great. Who let him in?” Tuffnut scrunched up his nose, looking at the chief’s son with something akin to disgust. Before the rest of the teens could continue to comment, Gobber butt in, going behind Hiccup to close the gate.
“Right! Let’s get started! The recruit who does best will win the honor of taming his first horse in front of the entire village.” Gobber narrowed his eyes, now standing next to Hiccup and gesturing with his prosthetic hand… hook?
“Hiccup already captured an Arabian, so… does that disqualify him or…?” Snotlout raised his eyebrows in mocking question as the other teens snickered. They began to walk off, Tuffnut asking to trade to another class with the cool Vikings. As if it wasn’t only them 6 in the same age group.

Zuko stared back, trying to decide if he could make the jump out the window. The drop would be pretty steep, but he really didn’t want to fight off the Avatar in their new apartment with its nice furniture and Uncle’s tea collection in the corner and—

“We’ve been together for two years and it’s ‘never come up’?!”
“It’s not like it’s a secret!” Sokka cried.

Sokka and Zuko are about to head back to Ember Island for the Gaang's annual vacation there (and Aang's 18th birthday), but Sokka realizes he's neglected to mention that he and Zuko have been dating for two years to Katara and Aang. But Katara and Aang are distracted by their own problems, and nothing Sokka does seems to make them understand that he and Zuko are actually dating. Zuko, meanwhile, wants to tell Sokka he loves him for the first time, but can't find an acceptable moment to say it. Shenanigans ensue.[CURRENTLY ON HIATUS DUE TO MY HEALTH ISSUES.]
