When discussing an afterlife for Severus, it's a common refrain to hear, "Severus would get to meet Lily and make up, or Dumbledore and talk things through..."But a friend of mine said, "truth be told, i hope severus meets no one in the afterlife. i want him to get the chance he never got while he was alive. i want him to move on and get the space to deal with all the trauma or at the very least find peace. seeing dumbledore/lily/eileen/james might provide some closure but if they’re like their earthly counterparts then i doubt severus would get true closure."
...and how could I let that idea just sit and not touch it, hey?

It's a tough job, working for the world's greatest wizard. On top of the usual challenges of student life there are apocalypses to deal with, and assassins who show up at inconvenient times, and plant life scheming for world conquest.
It's probably nothing Star Swirl can't take care of, provided he and Clover manage to resist killing each other first.

This isn't a crack or a parody. The game won't be cheated or tricked, you have to beat it by its own rules.

Summary
The region of Hisui is cold and deadly, and Pokémon find humans as alien as they find the monsters of the land. The long buried history of Hisui is barely murmured in folktales, ruins, and fragments of text written near the beginning of time, even as it echoes loud into the present in the words and actions of those now living there.
But though history (when viewed from such distance) may sound terribly complex, the impact of it isn't that complex at all. Most people simply don't think to consider how such things shape their day to day lives, due to having more relevant things to think about. The above was certainly true for Lucas, who, until he'd got a history pop quiz vie being isekai'd into the past, hadn't even put in the effort to stay awake during history class.
A shame, really.
But while having no clue what's going on might not be ideal, at least this ignorance really helps with Lucas's stress levels as he and everyone about him does their best in these terribly interesting times of upheaval and change.

So when one of the rare earth pony elite appears at a Canterlot party, despondent, alone, and (possibly) single, it’s an opportunity too good to pass up. And it’s been so long since Spoiled’s met a stallion she genuinely likes.
History says it won’t last. Common sense warns it won’t work. It’s a one-in-a-million chance, and luck’s never been on her side before. But Spoiled has to try. She can’t afford not to.
