After his recovery from a climactic escape from Darth Vader, Cal agrees to show Merrin around Zeffo. They are attacked by Atticus Rex, and awaken to find themselves imprisoned on Ordo Eris, waiting to be thrown into an arena fight to clear Greez' debts. They must escape captivity, but matters are complicated as Cal has no lightsaber, Merrin is barely conscious, and BD-1 is nowhere to be found.

“You’ll get their attention, I’ll get the crates,” is all the instruction she gives him. He doesn’t ask for how much attention she needs him to grab and how long to keep it up. She won’t watch for him so he’ll watch for her instead.
Honestly, he’s craving the idea of a fight, a way to blow off some steam. Keeping an eye on Hera won’t be the problem, stopping once he gets started is going to be the problem. He’s got a lot of steam to blow off. His fists are starting to ache with need when he registers his name from her lips; she must have said it a couple of times because now she doesn’t sound flat, she sounds irritated.

Summary
Word travels around Mos Eisley fast. The smuggler Han Solo has been captured by the renowned bounty hunter Boba Fett, and frozen in carbonite. Two droids found by Jawas in the desert dunes of Tatooine are sold to the moisture farmer Owen Lars. One droid, an astromech by the name R2-D2 carries a message from the Princess of Alderaan, Leia Organa asking for the help of her father, Bail Organa’s, friend from the Clone Wars—Obi-Wan Kenobi. R2-D2 leaves to find this elusive Jedi Knight, with the protocol droid C-3PO and young Luke Skywalker tracking him through the Tatooine desert. With the droids, and Luke under Obi-Wan ‘Ben’ Kenobi’s protection, they head to Mos Eisley to find a ship to get them off planet.
