Summary

Their status couldn't be more different. Pyrrha, a promising athlete and Jaune, someone not-so-promising. Once, they had been friends, but now, they were adversaries, and they hadn't even finished high school yet!

The fact that her husband died years ago being a brave fool was secondary, but she kept her spirits up and had to go and teach some little scrub how to destroy Grimm. Ozpin's sent the message, she just had to teach. Easy, probably.
The arrival of Jaune Arc threw a little wrench in those plans.

In the wake of Geostigma, Cloud, Tifa, and the rest of the team reckon with their pasts and try move forward in a world that seems determined to repeat history.
Cloud and Tifa are the central characters and pairing, but the story is told from multiple perspectives and focuses on other characters as well. Takes place around Dirge of Cerebus but diverges from that story and only loosely uses some of its plot elements.
