Qrow's hands are not suited for tenderness, not worthy of care.
Clover's hands are meant for service, for giving enough to meet all the needs of those that rely on him, not to need care themselves.Their touch towards the other should find no purchase, no way to fit into all the ways their lives have shaped their hands to be.
But somehow, they did.
Because there was something in their hold on each other worth breaking every rule they had built up to protect themselves for.They just had to find a way to see it clearly, together.

“Betraying your tribe, and now traveling with an Atlesian at that. I guess there really is no honor among thieves,” the man jumps in, striding forward. He casts a disdainful look down at Clover before turning it back to Qrow.
“Is that what this is about? You're offended I broke the tribal honor code and now you're looking for retribution?” Qrow asks, sarcasm dripping from the words.
“Don’t give yourself so much credit, you’re not that important. I heard you flew the nest years ago," the woman brushes Qrow off in favor of leering at Clover. “He’s the one we’re interested in.”

Summary
For a long while, there's quietude, but not peace. There's a lull, a respite, a tranquility like that of the silence that follows a storm, but it isn't peace. There's no peace until there's healing, and there's no real first step to healing.
But Clover can let himself believe that something like peace can be reached when Qrow turns to him and, for the first time since returning from Atlas, wears a smile that doesn't look perilously close to shattering.

This is where the starting writer had a location and theme, began a story and then hid all but a few sentences for the following author to pick up and write the next part of the story. Over the course of 12 days, the group created 12 stories with 12 writers adding to each one, varying from 1 word to 350 words or so, with the last writer adding up to 600 words to finish out the story.
