“Uh,” Stiles says. His eyes are wide and caught-out, and he’s got his arms wrapped around two giant tubs of popcorn. Beside him, Derek Hale—the same Derek Hale that the Sheriff last saw in his interrogation room—is handing a $20 bill to the cashier and clearly trying to appear as casual as possible. He fumbles the change three times before he gets it into his pocket, though, so it’s a lost cause.

Summary
It happened before Derek could process it. Peter’s hand was dropping him to the ground. He stumbled backwards as he saw Peter carelessly moving towards the window. It was when the window made a shattering noise that Derek saw that Stiles was the one with his arms around Peter’s torso, tackling him out the window.
And in a second, it was all over.
“Stiles!”
White noise burned in Derek’s ears as he ran towards the shattered window. He collapsed against the lip of the window as he looked over the drop, desperate for a sign of life among the rocky water below.
There was nothing.
Stiles was gone.

Summary
Stiles learns about negative space in sixth period Art Survey. It reminds him of Peter, who seems to only ever fill in the parts of himself that he wants people to see. It's easy to forget about the negative space, and miss seeing the whole picture.
Then again, Peter is a mystery Stiles isn't sure he should solve.

Summary
Stiles hasn't come home. The Sheriff and Stiles have an agreement: Stiles is home before midnight every night, and he doesn't have to haul Derek Hale back to jail. So he drives out to the Hale house to drag his wayward son home—only thing is, it's not there anymore. What little had been left of it is laid flat across its foundations, and in the middle of it all, half buried beneath old burned out drywall, is Stiles' Jeep.
The list of suspects is pretty much limitless, now that the Sheriff knows just what horrors his little town holds. And with the strange company his son has begun to keep, he hardly knows where to start, but Peter Hale, Chris Argent, and Alan Deaton make the top of the list.

Stiles appears alone at the doors of the emergency room the morning after the full moon, covered in blood with a deep slash torn across his left side. He's suffering from hypovolemic shock and barely conscious and he won't tell anyone what happened—not his hospital appointed psychiatrist, not his father. Not even his pack.
The list of suspects is disconcertedly short. There were only seven others in the woods with Stiles that night: Derek, Scott, Boyd, Erica, Isaac, Jackson and Allison. And none of them remember the night in quite the same way.

Summary
Stiles manages a full month and a half of avoiding Hot Angry Murder Face Dude—previously Hot Angry Tank Top Dude—and it basically involves Stiles sneaking quietly past the laundromat and only going inside when it’s absolutely empty. It’s been tough on his cleaning schedule, but Stiles tells himself it’s worth it.
He’s got his Hello Kitty pants on again, he’s humming James, shaking his hips, when there’s a loud rattle-scrape at the front glass door. He jumps and spins and freezes when he sees—a freaking hulking black dog staring at him. It’s got eerie green eyes and it’s as big as a very large wolf—is it a wolf?—and Stiles is fairly sure it wants into the building to eat him.
