    Summary

you ever wonder what happened between shadow falling to earth and getting caught? because i sure do!

    -

The pod crashed into soft earth, the impact leaving a long crack along the glass and throwing Shadow onto his side. He lay still for a moment, sobs still wracking his body as he tried to get a full breath. The world around him was silent for a long moment before it sprung to life, a chorus of insect chatter and birdsong. It was beautiful. It was overwhelming. Shadows ears flicked back and forth to capture the noises, even as a part of him longed for the cold silence of the ARK, urged him to pin his ears back to block it all out.
