Summary
There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they're always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: "Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!"
So they chop and change, and each fresh move
Is only a fresh mistake.Intro for my Original Character, Isaiah Dunne

Summary
“I’m not like you. I’ve never been a father, hell, I’m barely an uncle to Jack, I never had any brothers or sisters, Arthur I don’t know a damned thing about caring for anyone but myself”
“You care for me”
That pulled Charles out of his head, out of that quiet spiral he got himself into.
“You care for everyone at camp, you carry so much love in your heart in your own way, in the way your work tirelessly, the way you get up early to help the girls with chores, the way you make little animals for Jack from your wood carvings, the way you let me braid your hair when you’re too tired to fight me,” Arthur chuckles a little at that last bit, smiling fondly to himself before raising a hand to hold Chaley’s stubbled face, thumb brushing across the scar on his cheek. “If you want this, if your heart is telling you this is something you’ve gotta do, then I want it too, love” -

Summary
Oh, he’d definitely done it now, was all Leon could think as gravel flew from under The Baron’s hooves, hands tight on the reins as they flew through the woods, far off the trail most folks took. His ears still rung from the gunshots, gunpowder sticking to his sweaty palms from the violent aftermath. He looked to the sky, a silent prayer to whoever was listening that maybe, just maybe, Deadeye wouldn’t kill him before the rangers did.
Leon was no stranger to violence, such was life as an outlaw, or hell, such was life in Louisiana. You grow used to the bloodshed, the fear the law will catch up to you. You learn to sleep light, be quick on your feet and even quicker to the draw. What you don’t get used to is the sound of blood pounding in your ears, that feeling in your chest that every breath you take may be your last. No matter how many times it happens you never ever get used to it.
