“You okay?” Will quirks one of his eyebrows, then looks down to Mike’s hand. “Your popsicle is melting.”
Mike’s suddenly aware of the stickiness between his fingers as the liquid from the half-melted Jell-O Pop settles in the crevices of his hand. His brain feels completely blank, other than the image of Will looking utterly cock-drunk on a fucking popsicle, which takes center stage, pushing everything else out of the way.
Mike blinks rapidly, hoping to chase the image away, but it’s stuck there now, under his eyelids, under his skin, carved deeply into the fabric of his very being.

“Noon,” Max corrected, as if she hadn’t only woken up thirty minutes before him.
“Wow,” he replied, squinting at the light. “Nobody thought to wake me?”
It happened casually after that, so casually it almost didn’t register at first. El laughed at something Lucas said, then turned toward Mike and leaned in, instinctively, easily, pressing a kiss to his lips like it was the most logical way to say good morning to him.

Or: Mike and Will have been together for a year and a half when El comes back. The problem is, El assumes she and Mike are still together. The bigger problem is that Mike doesn’t realize Will thinks he might choose her.

All Will wanted was to have a couple sausages, then retreat to the basement to draw for the day. Unfortunately for him, it seems that Joyce’s horrible cooking skills were genetic.
“Watch and learn,” Mike smirked. Will leans against the counter top and rolls his sleeves up, crossing his arms while focused on watching Mike whose eyes trail up to Will’s face, lingering at his lips. Will stored that piece of information away to evaluate later, then his focus switched to the aggressive sizzling of the pan, “Mike?” “Yeah?” “I think you’re making it worse”
The start of what Will knows would’ve been a protest is on the tip of Mike’s tongue, however it was silenced as he did a double-take at the pan, “Fuck!”.

Summary
Dazai has never allowed himself to get his ass handed to him this badly. In fact, he would almost seem unnaturally put-together after each mission— with minimal injuries, no dirt, little sweat since he doesn’t exert any physical effort unless his suicidal fantasies depended on it.
Which made sense: He hated pain, thus avoided any relation to it.
At least Chuuya thought so.
Now he is faced with the ever-baffling dilemma of Dazai seeking pain. And beyond that, seeking it to protect Chuuya from it.
Did he land in the wrong universe?
OR: Dazai has a tendency to get captured as part of the plan, and this time, when he decides to rope Chuuya into it, things go a little off-kilter.
