Cloud was starting to hate the dumb colors of red, white, and pink. It was all over the streets and incoming and leaving couples knew what to do for their significant other on this day. But here he was, roaming Sector 8 for hours trying to contemplate what to do. This shouldn't be this complicated, but it somehow was and Cloud couldn't help but overthink it.

When Zack gets to Midgar he loses track of Cloud. It takes a while to find him again, but when they reunite, Zack doesn't know if they'll ever get back to the relationship they had before Shinra trapped them in that basement all those years ago. It doesn't help that there's not a lot of time for healing when Sephiroth is trying to end the world.
