Summary
Amara has built a life of quiet control, practical, self-sufficient, careful not to need anyone too much. When her online friend Rayyan moves from Egypt to the Netherlands for his studies, what was once a voice through a screen becomes a real person in her space.
What follows is a slow, tender unfolding: bike rides through Amsterdam, late nights that blur into something neither of them expected. But as their connection deepens, Amara is forced to confront the walls she's built, the family she's distanced herself from, and the fear that everyone she loves eventually leaves.
Set between the grey winters of the Netherlands and the golden heat of Egypt, this is a story about two people learning that home isn't a place, it's the person who stays.
