Dean didn't get paid nearly enough for the job he did. Purchasing Lucifer's Prom Dress with the money he had set aside for his missing brother and then traveling across the country with the Boy with the Demon Blood riding shotgun had to be worth more than credit card fraud could provide.
Sam didn't get paid enough, either, but he wasn't as picky as Dean. He just wanted a family and a place to call home. Maybe a break from the constant state of terror he lived in. He knew he had no right to want that; he was a stupid, disobedient, useless freak of nature who disappointed every owner he ever had, but... maybe just one thing? Just an older brother to get in between him and his nightmares; one who might, if Sam was a very good boy, call him Sammy and give him hugs. That would be nice.
Yeah, that would be more than enough for Sam.

Summary
After getting rid of a new age witch, Sam and Dean thought they would return home quickly. But they didn't count on the little surprise she had left them and which would turn the BAU night into a low-budget horror movie and the Winchesters' into a simple Friday night like any other.
Where a young witch a little too inspired by Gone Girl led to the arrest of the Winchesters by the BAU. Summary
After Sam and Dean return from heaven, things aren’t the same. Dean is angry, Sam doesn’t know if it can be fixed, or if his brother wants to fix things. He distracts himself from the tension by seeking more hunts and avoiding all mention of the oncoming apocalypse. But what happens when his family saving hunt leads both Winchesters to facing their deepest fears? Will it fix their relationship? Or drive the rift deeper?
