Full Binghe POV
Really really good syntax. Descriptions are wonderful and vivid.
The pacing is incredibly well done and the ending is sweet. Everything ties back together and Binghes actions make sense after a reread. Adore the portrayal of the little palace mistress and both her and Binghes characterization + character development.
The ending was incredibly clever despite us never seeing what sy!gyx was up to. The vines as a break and a suppressant for xin mo was great. As nice as sy!gyx is described through Binghes lens and the little palace mistress’ the little details still speak to what we know of SY himself. -

Summary
Phainon of Aedes Elysiae tries his best to take care of his own health. Healers had more than enough on their plates, after all. He can take care of small scratches, bouts of fatigue, and the occasional stomach bug.
Besides, with Mydei around, he has access to both a balanced diet and regular (vigorous) exercise. This is the healthiest he'll probably ever be!
So when he starts feeling off during a supposedly regular Titankin clearing task, he couldn't be more surprised to see what the cause actually is.
Or, how Phainon's desire to not be a bother leads to an oversight of (several) lifetimes.

But, maybe his life will get better when the protectors and Demigods of Amphoreus, the Chrysos Heirs themselves, come into his life, greeting him with completely open arms, carrying a past that he slowly discovers for himself through dreams and memories alike.

Mydei sniffed, his eyebrows furrowing, and his jaw went slack in realization. A subtly sweet, musky scent permeated the air, the Chimera hybrid looking up at him through lidded eyes, lips slightly parted, with his head tilted as though baring his neck to him.
The implication of the position suddenly became painfully apparent. Mydei flustered—careful not to make any sudden movements as he settled back onto his haunches. He still didn't fully trust that the chimera wouldn't lunge at him and attempt to tear out his throat if given the opportunity.
Or, that would have been the case—if he hadn't noticed the hybrid deliberately spreading his legs for him instead. Pale thighs splayed wide in silent invitation, with just the spade-shaped tip of his tail coyly hiding his sex from view, the moonlight filtering in through the foliage caught on the slick sticking to the hybrid's inner-thighs—
"This—" Mydei began, wheezing, "Your nest was—We... disturbed your nest."
Titans. Mydei shouldn't have answered the page.
Mydei's expertise starts and ends with the wildlife... So why is he cohabiting with a chimera hybrid on the brink of heat who keeps trying to seduce him?

It is a cruel thing to think, but Phainon is used to it so much, it only stings mildly like a paper cut at his guilt, that he wishes he could be put down and live on as an infinite grief to Mydei. He knows well that love’s greatest form is grief, and to be grieved by Mydei, who has resisted against being torn down from the deaths of his mother, his people, his home, and the sin of patricide for so many cycles-
Phainon has cried himself to sleep one night thinking about it, despite knowing better. He could never do that to Mydei, he would never, and surely Mydei knows it. Mydei has to.
But still, Phainon wishes Mydei would let him be his dog.
