Summary
5 years ago, Draco Malfoy was forced to choose who lives and who dies: his wife or his son.
Since the death of Astoria, Draco has kept his head down, and his son safe. Continuing his work as an Auror, he's tried to find the killer known as the 'Reaper'. Things have been quiet until a familiar Curse-Breaker has a breakthrough in countering the Unforgivables. A breakthrough so brilliant, that it awakens a demon from his past.
When Hermione Granger discovers how to counter the Cruciatus Curse, she garners the attention of the Reaper. Forced to put her research on hold while Auror Malfoy is assigned to protect her, Hermione struggles with the lack of workload. Her recent engagement to Ronald Weasley was broken due to her struggle to have children. With the possibility of being barren looming over her, Hermione is struggling with self-worth, grief, and life.
That is, until she's asked to watch Scorpius Malfoy whilst Draco tries to solve cases that are steadily leading him closer and closer to the Reaper's whereabouts. It's then that she realizes that not all families are made; they're found. Only... getting close to Scorpius and his hot father could get her killed.

Summary
Draco Malfoy is hiding a secret.
He's a vampire.
Turned during the Battle of Hogwarts, he's been living off donated blood, and discovering different ways to hide his 'condition' for the past six years. He was content to wallow in self-loathing until a rogue vampire attacks the blood vaults at St. Mungos. How's a vampire supposed to live with a blood shortage? Not in this economy.
In an effort to fix Vampire-Wizard relations and make his life easier, Draco needs the support of the Ministry. Only issue? It means he has to work with Hermione Granger who is severely overworked and (surprisingly) not his biggest fan.
She doesn't believe that he's 'changed' and suddenly cares about vampire rights. It doesn't help that Draco's still the sarcastic, brooding arsehole she knew from school. Hermione's determined to find out what he's hiding.
Meanwhile Draco's determined to find out why her blood makes his mouth water and challenges his more... primal urges. Why does he want to sink his teeth into her every time she gets close?
