Six months ago, Rin (Belle's jp name, not an OC!) had decided to forget about Lighter and to move on.
Now she has been at Failume Heights for four days, and due to her plan not covering the Waifei Peninsula, she feels more disconnected and lonely than ever before. Thinking about home also makes her think about Lighter. But it has been eleven months since she fell for Lighter at first sight; she can't be thinking about him now, least because it wouldn't change anything.
They had moved on.It is then that Rin runs into Komano Manato, a local from Failume Heights, and slowly gets to know him better.
In this slow side project, everything is still open to discussion; depending fully on how well Komano Manato presents himself.
Who will win Rin's heart? Lighter, as per usual with me? Komano, as he's very interesting? Someone else entirely?
And how will Yuzuha play into this? Will she even play a role?

Summary
Lighter returns from his stake-out and Settlement Days should be over — but are they really? Rin (Belle's jp name) finds a loophole she can use to challenge Lighter to the ultimate bet — with lasting consequences.
A fanfic in which Rin and Lighter could be considered "Friends", neither of them knowing that the other might want more out of this relationship. Tensions are at an all-new high, as are the stakes; and only after a bunch of Misunderstandings stemming from Miscommunications will they realize what they want and what they absolutely cannot afford to lose.
This fanfic still includes some of Lighter's Trust Events, with some of Lycaon's added for more Drama and Angst (?); but it's not as Canon Compliant as its predecessor.
Rated Mature mostly for the language and its…suggestive nature.Series

She has amazing friends, solid business relationships, and a steady clientele. Her problem? She's kind of fallen for one of those clients, and Lycaon has no idea.
That was fine. It was fine. It was totally fine. Until Lycaon asks her to go with him to a secret meeting, in person, as his companion.
