Summary
Together they wrestle the terrorists into a bundle, and Spider-Man’s webs work on the canvas of the tent just fine. He wads the canvas bundle together until the men inside can’t move and then shoves the bundle on its side and webs the cocoon of angry, insecure White men to the ground.
Deadpool shakes himself as his body pushes bullets back out. “Eugh. I hate that. So itchy and weird. I will never get used to that.”
Tired, shaken, and wishing his mask is less stuffy, Spider-Man walks over to Deadpool and gives him a one-armed hug. That’s when Spider-Man looks around Deadpool’s shoulder and sees a teenage girl lying face down on the ground unmoving, with a knot of other people forming around her. In the lights of the night market, the blood all over her is too obvious.
Deadpool turns and looks, responding to the way Spider-Man tenses, the way his breath catches. “Oh, no.” The lack of swearing is a bad sign. Deadpool stumbles toward her. “No, no, wait. This isn’t supposed to happen. We saved the day. We did good. Why would this happen?”
---
White supremacists attack Queens Night Market, a sign of these sad times.

Summary
From his vantage point on the side of an office building, Peter detects Wade on the roof of an apartment building a block away. Peter swings out wide and lands a somersault effortlessly on the roof of the apartment, two feet from Wade. Wade is in “just chillin’” mode, sitting cross-legged, listening to his I-pod, and doodling on some cheap sketch paper in crayon. He’s clearly forgotten about their date to meet over by the Hudson River. Or this is the result of Wade’s poor sense of time. Dissociative disorders mess with a person’s ability to tell time or even what day they’re in.
Still, Peter is not prepared for Wade to glance up, leap to his feet, tear off his earbuds, and scream, “Spider-Man!”

Summary
Spock beamed up to the Enterprise, flush with happiness that Jim had seen the logic of abandoning Starfleet and living on Omicron Ceti III in peace. Why should they confront the horrors of space for a military based far away on Earth? Why should they continue killing and being killed? Being a captain did not make Jim happy. He was tortured the responsibility and the thanklessness of his loyalty. What Jim needed was a simple life, a farm life, like his idyllic childhood in Iowa. Omicron Ceti III could provide that. And they would all be safe here, all live long, happy lives together.
Jim stood with a metal bar in his hand and a sneer on his face, his body coiled for combat. “All right, you mutinous, disloyal, computerized half-breed, we'll see about you deserting my ship.”
------------------
The first time Jim called Spock a computer, it was a compliment. The next time Jim called him a computer, it was not pleasurable.
(Note: The racism and not-okay-ness is baked into the episode "This Side of Paradise." I use the dialogue from that episode.)

Summary
Jim changed turbolifts on Deck 7 to get up to his quarters on Deck 4 and saw Spock leaving Sickbay, his stride measured, determined, and military-precise as always. Jim ran and caught up to him. “Lieutenant!” He grinned.
“Helmsman,” Spock replied.
Jim matched Spock’s strides. “I heard you assist Dr. Boyce with his experiments.”
For a split second, Spock faltered, just enough to interrupt the metronome-consistent strides and resume on a different beat. Then he glanced at Jim with a gleam of something in his eyes. Maybe it was curiosity. “Indeed. I assist.” Spock’s brow furrowed, and his expression became unreadable. “What is the purpose of your observation, Lieutenant?”
Caught a bit flat-footed, Jim laughed. “I’m trying to make small talk.”----------------------------
Jim stumbles onto one of Spock's many secrets. Despite Spock trying to keep Jim at arm's length, he's determined to be Spock's friend no matter what.

Summary
Weasel finds himself having to talk Wade down from the plan to commit arson against The Daily Bugle for attacking Spider-Man. Naturally, Wade explains very little of why he's barely been in contact for the last six months and why a "three day stay" took six months to begin with. Wade simply shows up at Sister Margaret's bewailing that he doesn't know how to get revenge without upsetting Spider-Man. All Weasel can do is give Wade advice and hope Wade takes it. (Not that he cares. Well, okay, maybe he cares a little.)

Hanging out with Peter is great...except when two unwanted commentators tag along. Unwanted commentators Wade nicknames Yellow and White. In the comics, they've got their own boxes. In this fanfiction, they're just voices. That doesn't make it better. And there is no way that Wade is going to let Peter know Yellow and White exist.

The end of Jessica Fletcher’s letter rang out in his mind:
Jonathan Quayle Higgins III is in love with Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV, and there is nothing wrong with that. Unless you make something wrong with that by not confessing to that dear, sweet man.
Now don’t fuss at me. I’m old enough to be your aunt. Call me when you’ve told him how you feel and tell me how wonderful it was to get all that off your chest and make him a happy man.
And she had enclosed her telephone number.
Magnum swallowed. It felt like he was trying to swallow gravel. “Higgins. We have to talk.”
-----------------------------
In which Jessica Fletcher writes Magnum a very different kind of letter at the end of Novel Connection - a far more helpful one. Because it's not like Jessica to leave without meddling in everyone's lives for the better. She can't fail to see that Magnum and Higgins are in love with each other, and she gives Magnum the push he needs to confess.

Summary
At the entrance to Sickbay, Bones met him and they rushed to the CMO’s office, collecting Joseph along the way. As soon as they were in the office with the privacy protocols engaged, Joseph said, “Jim, I know what Spock has. It’s not kae’klotaya or even the wafaya. It’s tevakh-nekhaum.”
The way Joseph’s face tightened as he said the word sent a spike of cold fear through Jim. “What is that?”
“It’s when the will to live starts draining out. A Vulcan can mentally think themselves to death.”
“No,” Jim said immediately. “I don’t accept this.”
“We’re not asking you to!” Bones snapped. “But what the hell do we do? Spock’s locked himself inside his own brain.”
--------------------------------------------
When Spock makes telepathic contact with an alien race to further the Enterprise's continuing mission to seek out new life, what begins as a benevolent exchange of information accidentally triggers a rare Vulcan psychosomatic illness that sends Spock into a coma from which he might not recover. Their only hope to save Spock is the telepathic race that accidentally induced the coma in the first place.

Summary
The Enterprise rocked in the shockwave, even with the Captain’s and Sulu’s fast response to the Romulan ship self-destructing at close range. Sulu was thrown against the console, and Dr. McCoy lost his balance with his thumb still on the plunger of the hypospray, thrown forward and his arm knocking against Sulu’s chair. He bent double with a shout of pain. Then he collapsed.
“Bones!” Jim exclaimed.
The doctor’s scream as the cordrazine hit his bloodstream mobilized Spock.
Knowing Terrans could never understand what intimate line he had crossed, Spock disregarded his boundaries and ran to the doctor, knowing only he had the physical strength to subdue Dr. McCoy long enough for Sickbay staff to arrive.
------------
In the Mirrorverse, Dr. McCoy's cordrazine overdose still happens, but under different circumstances. As the delirious Dr. McCoy is being kept calm by Spock, Spock learns of a tragedy that happened when Dr. McCoy was a med student.

Summary
“Silence!” Captain Pike snapped. He turned a boiling gaze on Spock. “Lieutenant Spock will be the subject of this little experiment. That’s how you’d put it, isn’t it, Spock?”
Spock stared straight ahead, not meeting Pike’s gaze. “I must warn you that the Agony Booth is ineffective on Vulcans, Captain.”
Pike sneered. “Then it’ll be half-effective. That’s my hypothesis.”
“My DNA is not expressed as an equal split, Captain. I assure you that despite my mixed parentage, I am quite Vulcan. The Agony Booth will be unable to stimulate my nerves.”
“So that’s your hypothesis,” Pike said with a smirk. “We’ll see who’s right.”
“As you wish, Captain.” Spock stood at parade rest.
Jim marveled at Spock’s nerve. No one stood up to Pike this way. Yet here was Spock, doing it, and apparently completely, coolly unconcerned.
---------
(Mirrorverse) When Spock brings up the issue of chemicals missing from one of his labs, Captain Pike orders Spock into the Agony Booth and orders the Bridge crew to watch. Spock's refusal to show weaknesses teaches Kirk a valuable lesson in standing up to abuses of authority. The origin story of how Mirror Kirk decides to take over the Enterprise.

Summary
“I’m not Agonizing you for getting visible blood on your tunic because you insisted on reporting to the Bridge on time after an assassination attempt instead of reporting to the Sickbay, which as I recall regulations also require, Mr. Spock.” Jim narrowed his eyes.
Spock narrowed his eyes in return. “Two considerations, Captain.” He clasped his hands behind his back. “One: You assume that I could even feel the Agonizer. Pain is of the mind, and Vulcans possess perfect control over their minds. Two: I did not report to Sickbay because as you well know Dr. Piper has a policy that he will not waste supplies or time on me due to my unpredictable biochemistry and unnatural nature. His policy is, I quote, ‘I became a doctor to treat Terrans, not Frankenstein’s monster,’ end quote.”
-----------------
When tensions between Dr. Boyce and Spock come to a head, Kirk solves the problem with diplomacy, efficiency, and a reliance on friendship - the Mirrorverse way. Dr. Boyce is quietly assassinated, with proper deniability of course, and Kirk makes a call to an old friend: Dr. Leonard H. McCoy. This is the Mirrorverse story of how McCoy became the Enterprise's CMO.

Summary
Jim banked the shuttlecraft sharply and pulled up at the same time, accidentally throwing the Southern doctor against the wall next to the damaged console. The man cursed. “Kirk! This is the life support system that’s damaged!”
“We’ll make it,” Jim said grimly, banking the other way and jerking the vessel into a barrel roll. Some of the passengers screamed.
The doctor vomited as they came right side up again. He wiped his mouth and braced himself next to Jim. His head was bowed, and it turned out he was looking at the console display. “That blinking light. That’s our shields.”
“I know,” Jim said.
“Blinking. Blinking isn’t good.”
“No, it’s not.”
--------------------
Dr. McCoy’s and Jim Kirk’s first meeting. McCoy and Kirk end up on the same shuttle headed for planetside shore leave. When an alien vessel opens fire on the shuttle, killing the pilot, Kirk takes over, keeps the shuttle in one piece, and emergency lands. Kirk manages to break both legs during the rough landing. McCoy cancels their shore leave and takes care of Kirk. Kirk spends that time breaking down McCoy's walls. A friendship is forged. *COMPLETE*

Summary
“You lost our sashes in transport, Mr. Kyle?” Jim asked, his nerves on a knife’s edge already.
Mr. Kyle looked stunned and confused. “Sashes, Captain?”
Then Leonard noticed the lights were tinted wrong and the insignia of the Terran Empire had disappeared from the wall. “Jim,” he hissed.
Jim saw. The look in his eyes changed.
Then the door to the transporter room hissed open and Spock came in, and Spock was dressed differently and had shaved his beard so clean it was like it had never existed. Just like the disappearance of the insignia.
Leonard was struck silent with terrible fear.
----------------------
“Mirror, Mirror,” through the eyes of the “Mirror” Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. How the Terran Empire’s Kirk and McCoy coped with being stranded on the USS Enterprise and learned how to get home, what the Terran Empire’s Spock was thinking when he mind-melded with the Federation’s Dr. McCoy, and what happened when they were reunited on the ISS Enterprise.

Summary
“You on the right,” Jim said, falling into his role as Captain as a way to escape his massive discomfort. “My right.” He gestured. “Identify yourself.”
The Terran man slowly tore his gaze from Spock and stared at Jim with open fear and trepidation. “I am S’Chn T’gai Spock, Captain.”
The Spock Jim was familiar with stepped forward off the transporter pad and stood at parade rest, his expression unusually hard. “As am I, Captain. It is evident that the transporter did not successfully read my life signs, instead interpreting me as two beings: a Vulcan and a Terran. It sorted my DNA accordingly. This will prove to be a fascinating experiment.”
--------------------------------
In the Mirrorverse, the transporter accident caused by the magnetic ore dust of Alfa-177 splits Spock instead of Kirk. The transporter erroneously sorts Spock’s Vulcan and Terran DNA into two separate individuals. Kirk must hide Spock’s Terran half and rely on Scotty to program the transporter to reverse the split.
