A story where Kakashi learns to lean on others just a little earlier, and gives Tsunade a reason to return home, Naruto and Sasuke a family, Sakura an identity, Gai peace of mind, and himself a little bit of hope for the future of the village.
[Basically an entire fix-it plot re-write of Naruto where I fix a lot of the mischaracterization/lost opportunities, mend plot holes, and add in some chakra and jutsu theory because I feel like it.]

Team 7 didn't make it in their fight against Kaguya in different dimensions. So the Sage of Six Paths grants reanimated Hokage a chance of fixing it all before it started, but only one can go. They chose Tobirama Senju because he knows Uchiha better than anyone else and has the best chakra control over all of them.
When he woke up in his 9 year old body next to his long dead twin, Tobirama swore he'd prevent Kaguya from coming back. And for that he must watch Madara closely in order to catch Black Zetsu and deal with the source of the disaster himself.

Madara was of two minds about this kind of information gathering. Civilians were relatively easy to get information from. A few coins and they told you everything they knew. And there laid the crux of the problem… they just didn’t know that much. They didn’t know what to pay attention to and they wouldn’t recognize a ninja if they wore a sign saying they were ninja. On the other hand, civilians smelled money, especially the ones here. They could tell you who had how much and how willing they were to part with it. If Madara got lucky he would find someone who could also tell him why and where the people parted with their money. The amount could give him a decent guess but the more they knew the better. And the other thing was, they knew everyone. Especially here where in a weird way the people did trade in information as much as pleasure. So the best place to go when it came to people with money was here. Red rose. The best courtesans in all of the city, or so they said.
Tobira is one of these courtesans and he knows a lot more than he should. He knew one day this would get him into trouble. Trouble comes in the form of Madara and the 'possibility' to get out of the life of a courtesan.

Sugimoto opens up a pocket at the top of his briefcase. In it, are two clear plastic bags, clearly marked and labeled in red and black ink. Evidence bags.
Sugimoto pulls them out and what little breath Shouta still has is forced from his lungs.
One of the bags holds a familiar red sneaker, scuffed at the edges with the dirt and grime of the walking trails around UA. A dark scrape runs along the side where its owner has a habit of rubbing it along the legs of his desk when he thinks too much. The other holds a pair of metal-rimmed glasses. The lenses are cracked along the side, but Shouta can still make out the typewriter straight kanji across the frame that bear its owner’s name.
