Summary
Imagine if having sentient, intelligent beings could affect Earth's emotions. We've already seen human actions lead to Earth's arrogance in canon right? Now what would happen if a bunch of happy humans all looked up in awe and wonder at a total solar eclipse? This. This is what happens.
(So maybe this was inspired by the upcoming solar eclipse. Do I care that it's not a total solar eclipse? Nope.)

Earths stares at him, cold eyes calculating. Astrophel hates the fact that he does not know what is currently going on in his mind.
“I’ve given you so many chances, and you all still disappoint me,” he spits out in disgust. “You used me, hurt me, destroyed me, and almost succeeded in killing me before I stepped in and took matters into my own hands. Your ancestors were even looking for places to turn to colonies once they were done with me and made me uninhabitable. This is just my way of making sure that you won’t leave ME. you’ll be with me forever, and I will make sure of it. Even if it means being the monstrous beast in your eyes.”

Summary
Look, being thrown through time and space isn't fun in the first place. But being attacked while already in such a situation? That’s just bad manners. Darkrai would know, of course, suddenly being on the receiving end of just that.
But at least he landed in the past, meaning he has the perfect chance to finally take his revenge on those pesky ‘heroes’ that got him there in the first place. And he has the perfect plan, this time: Disguise himself as a perfectly harmless Pokémon, get close to them, and once they fully trust him… stab them in the back and watch them suffer!
Now, if only he could stop himself from starting to like the once-human… that would be great. And where, exactly, has the original partner Pokémon gone?
(Can technically be read without knowledge of the Mystery Dungeon Series)(was intended to be crack. is now just a story with the occasional humour but also angst and too many words. and a surprising amount of character development for Darkrai. basically the Redemption Arc he never got.)
