“Lovelace?” Snape’s voice was raspy with sleep, his dark hair a mess. Mia drew in a shaky breath at the sight of him sitting up on the sofa, her nerves now all jittery. He growled low, “Do you have any idea what time it is?”
“Professor,” She managed to gasp, “I need to ask you something.”
Defeated, Snape sighed, rubbing his tired eyes. “What is it then?”
Mia stepped closer, kneeling down in front of him. She brushed up against his knees, and he seemed suddenly very much awake. “Is it alright if I fall in love with you?”
