This story is incredible - riveting, beautiful, wonderful. I deeply enjoy Kellan's style, and the story they're crafting here is exquisite. If you enjoy the Mistress and want to take a peak at how a few other fan favorite characters made it through the Occupation, this is a fantastic story to check out.

Clark's Kryptonian heritage, like Lex, is rich and powerful. And, like Lex, not entirely predictable. Because this is essentially a sex pollen story, issues of consent follow. Also, Lex gets beaten up, though not by Clark.

Sigh, I lost this fic a few months ago and I've been hankering for it ever since. I like Clark/Lex, sue me. Actually, don't, and while you're at it, read this little nugget of fabulousness because wow. Just. Wow. The complexity of this universe and of the relationships of the characters therein is so worth the novel-length investment of your time, and the slow fold of the narrative from a sex pollen smutfest to a very slow and uncomfortable romance is just to die for. This is a fantastic fic about the amount of humanity involved in Lex Luthor and Clark Kent both, and that makes it one of my favorite Clark/Lex fics to date.

I wish I could talk about how much I loved this fic without sounding creepy, but I can't. So take it from me that I found the characterization fantastic, the pace of the narrative jaunty and highly believable, and the sex titillating. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to return to breathing heavily.

Okay, so I'm not so secretly into Dick/Damian, and not so secretly kind of annoyed with the Batfandom's general inability to describe a relationship between them realistically. That said, this story blows me away every time I read it. It's just so *accurate*, and I love that -- everybody is so spot on, characterization-wise, and it's just marvelous. Dick agonizes without angsting, Damian is learning and growing while still being a violent, bratty teenager, and Bruce's cameo is succinct but so in-character. The use of language in this piece is also just astoundingly accurate, and it tug all of the emotions out of me with skill and precision. Beautiful. Wonderful. Read it.

I am absolutely in love with Unwanted Free Ugly Troll, so when CC recommended her readers check out this fic, I jumped at the link, and man, I was in no way disappointed. Loophole provides many of the same heartwarming, evocative themes, playing into the same alternate universe, while at the same time amping up the drama tenfold. Vriska and John's relationship is depicted so sweetly and sincerely, and wow just. All my feelings.
