Summary
To the whole world, Billy Loomis and Stu Macher were the psychos behind the Woodsboro Massacre of 1996. The boys were crazy, bloodthirsty, and ultimately killed by survivors and heroes Sidney Prescott and Tatum Riley.
What the world didn’t know is that Sidney and Tatum were really the ones behind the killings. They were the Ghostfaces of ‘96, their plan to make Billy and Stu pay for what they’d done to Sidney’s mother. And they’d gotten away with it all, until 2022, when Tara Carpenter and Amber Freeman showed up. Tara and Amber had done their research: found inconsistencies in evidence, blips in the timeline, and cornered Sidney and Tatum with the knowledge of their past. But the girls didn’t use it as blackmail…they wanted Sidney and Tatum to teach them everything they know about being Ghostfaces.
From there, Tara and Amber spiral between bloodlust and broken truths, with Sidney and Tatum overseeing it all.
What neither generation planned on was that this little mentorship would feel so...familial.OR:

Tatum is six years old when she first meets Sidney Prescott, and she’s seventeen years old when she takes a bullet for her, but none of the intervening years make any difference whatsoever because Tatum would have done the same thing from the moment she stepped onto the bus on the first day of kindergarten, almost in tears because she had never left her mommy for this long before, and the pretty brunette girl sitting next to her had smiled at her and said, “Hi, I’m Sidney!”

Confused by such information, Stuart decides to go to the place and finds not only familiar faces but also two estrangers who may or may not bring answers to Billy's disappearance in the last almost twenty years.

Billy Loomis is a successful author who rewrites the planned murders he wrote in highschool of his friends and family as the plots of his horror novels, STAB! In desperation to get his publicist, Gale Weathers, off his ass about promoting his newest book, he agrees to go to a week-long horror convention. While there, he meets one of the photographers, Stu Macher, who photographs the guest stars and also happens to be a big fan of his books. They learn they each have a similar love for all things sinister, and scheme to go through with some of those hidden plans Billy wrote in his notebooks so many years ago.

“Exactly, it’s been 8 months and you’re still here. You’ve never once said no to all this, or tried to talk me out of this, and you have absolutely nothing to gain from doing all this. So what are the other options here?”
“I don't know man, you tell me! You’re the smart one!” Stu goaded a little, without really considering that Billy would absolutely take up the challenge. Billy’s eyes hardened a little, and Stu felt his body give that little nervous tingle.
Billy leaned forward, and wrapped a hand around Stu’s throat.Minor warning: Slurs used throughout such as the f-slur. This takes place in the 90's.

Dying was meant to be the end, and both Billy and Stu were okay with that; in fact, they welcomed the void with open arms. So why they found themselves alive and awake two years after their Ghostface spree was beyond them. But they weren't going to let this opportunity pass them by, especially when they find someone else has taken up their mask.
But how will Billy be able to focus on revenge when old faces reveal themselves and he finds his relationship with Stu far more complicated than he was ever ready to accept?
