I discovered quickly that the future did not use letters carried on horseback, nor messengers, nor palace records. It used a glowing box. A strange rectangle that shone like polished obsidian and screamed when touched incorrectly.
“I must use this… magic window… to search?” I had asked the man at the jewlery shop, the one who exchanged the jewels I carried for paper money. “Find Yeon Ji-Young.” I demanded of the mechanism.
The merchant chuckled at me, “try your phone- you can ask the artificial intelligence for help.”
“Fake intelligence?” I scoffed, a king does not rely on fake intelligence. “Why would I need that. I need real intelligence.”
