Summary
The one story when Derek and Stiles get together, but not everything is fine. Stiles had caught Derek cheating (again) and this story is him struggling with it. Struggling to accept it, struggling to tell Derek that he knows. Another big bad comes to town when Stiles is already falling apart. The pack is too busy to notice Stiles destructive behaviour, the smell of drugs on him. Derek knows Stiles knows, but believes the only way to express himself is physically and with gifts. So Derek steals from his one night stands and gives them to Stiles. Stiles knows Derek is prone to cheating because that is how they got together in the first place. Derek cheated repeatedly on Braeden for him.

"Do you miss me like I miss you?"
Stiles messed up. Falling for Derek wasn't a part of the plan. Falling for Derek was not what he wanted. What Stiles wanted was to be wanted . Stiles was supposed to help Derek, not hold him back. So even if it kills him, Stiles swears to leave Derek alone. Even if it causes him to spiral out of control, he will leave Derek alone.
Derek messed up. Somehow he drove Stiles away. Forcing Stiles to leave was not what he desired. But the lack of his presence, the comfort Stiles would be there to catch him, Derek realised one thing. He fell for Stiles. It doesn't matter how hard he has to search, to push his own comfort zones, Derek will tell Stiles just how he feels.

Stiles ran away and Derek stayed. Stiles left a note and Derek read it. When Stiles returns, Derek has questions. When Stiles returns, Stiles is no longer the coward who ran. This Stiles knew what he wanted. This Stiles was dangerous. But Derek seemed to be drawn to the dangerous ones.

Stiles is tired. Tired of trying, tired of existing. After Theo, Scott still won't let him back, Malia won't look at him. Falling deeper and deeper into himself, he sets out to kill himself. Only when he hits the bottom he realises he doesn't want to die. He doesn't.
Something changes that day. No longer is he the same weak human. Something is different and Scott is too oblivious to notice.
It is when Derek comes back does anyone notice something is wrong. It is when Derek tries to make amends that he notices Stiles is different.
Derek cannot look away. Stiles doesn't want to be seen.
