Well, madness is an inevitable outcome of thinking about Stiles, but the madness of trying to not murder him is less traumatic than that of acknowledging that half of his infuriation stems from the quirk of Stiles’s bowed lips and the distraction of his long fingers tapping a restless rhythm against his notebook.
Woah now, he’s firmly stuck in madness territory.
Pull it together, Hale.(Or, wherein Derek is a professor, Stiles is a summer fellowship student at the wolf sanctuary, Erica is the worst enabler to ever enable, and then they do the sex)

Summary
Before Derek has the presence of mind to object, Stiles pushes the paper in his hands and makes for his jeep. “Just read it, okay?” is the last thing he says before slamming the door shut.
He starts the engine, and drives away in record time with gravel scrunching under his tires while Derek stands there dumfounded. He accelerates unusually fast, and the jeep’s back lights disappear into the night.

Summary
Stiles gives him a lopsided smile, asks him, “are you gonna let me in or what, man?”, gesturing at Derek expansively with his long, nimble fingers, and Stiles’ shirt is maybe a little small on his growing frame, because with the movement of his arm it shows a sliver of skin, a little of pale stomach, and Derek has to clear his throat.
“Yeah, sure.” He says, aiming for dispassionate but not quite getting it right, as he moves a few inches to give Stiles room to come inside.
Only, it’s apparently not enough room because Stiles bumps against him. And it’s just his shoulder, and his bony elbow, and he feels a little sore for a few seconds there, but still. His stomach does a plummeting thing, a sort of seasick motion without him even moving, a thing that’s so juvenile Derek wants to groan and cover his eyes.
Oh, fuck.
“Yo, Derek, you coming?” Stiles asks, then, turning a little to look at him with raised eyebrows.
Derek says yeah, low and kind of unpleasant, and then takes a step towards him and-
—fucking trips. Over nothing.
