Caitlyn pats the space on the seat next to her. The chair is smooth and cool to the touch but not for long as Vi’s warm, calloused hand takes hers, squeezing gently.
“How are we feeling?”
She hums.
“Fairly good.” She smiles. “It’s a little strange, having an eyepatch on the other side. I feel almost like I should get one of those sleeping masks.”
“Ah,” Vi’s hand squeezes hers again. “Maybe one of those superhero eye masks that hides absolutely nothing?”
Caitlyn chuckles.
