Oh, man, he thinks Jingyi means like a real date date and he’s trying to find a way to reject Jingyi without hurting his feelings—
“I mean, friends can go on dates, too, right? Why should they get all the fancy dinners and moonlight walks and bouquets of flowers?”

He placed their bodies right next to each other, and he smiled at them both. “Soon,” he promised, “you can rest. Just hang in there for a bit, alright?”
