Summary
At age 9, Tubbos mother dies in a car accident. His father resorts to drinking and becomes abusive towards the child. In a fit of rage, he sets the house on fire with both of them in it. Only Tubbo makes it out alive, albeit with permanent scars on his face and arms. He ends up in the foster system, and the abuse didn’t stop with his father.
At age 14, Tubbo decides to run away. He runs away from not just the system, but his past as well. Now determined to live a new life independently, Tubbo sets off. But living on the streets isn’t easy. Bad shit happens. Sometimes, very bad shit. But without anywhere to go, you gotta live with it.
At age 15, Tubbo gets caught and is returned to the system. His first placement back is with a man named Phil and his three kids. Chaos ensues. And so does the road to healing.

Summary
Tubbo had experienced enough war for a lifetime.
So he runs away and builds a secluded house tens of thousands of blocks away, where he could build redstone contraptions and bee farms in peace.
He doesn't expect his new home to become everyone else's new home as well.
Or, the DreamSMP plot is too sad so I wrote this to heal our broken hearts a bit. This is a comfort fic!

During a fit of rage, Dream destroys the Dream SMP server's raw code. In a desperate attempt to save himself and his closest friends, Tubbo hacks into the server and reroutes the player files into Hermitcraft, leaving 34 people stranded under the care of Xisumavoid.
Chapter titles are the names of Hozier songs
This is set in July 2021, the beginning of Hermitcraft season 8 and when Techno was in prison with Dream.

After meeting his family he learns what it means to have friends and how a family really looks like.

Tubbo is a forest spirit who has lived peacefully for years until the humans began to find his forest. He has to protect and defend what he has promised to, but the humans seemed determined to prevent this from happening. The task becomes especially hard when the humans start hurting one another.
