Ao'nung and Lo'ak met far before Ao'nung met the one and only golden boy Neteyam Sully. Theyre on the same basketball team, upcoming seniors and theyve bonded in a violent and obnoxious way. They're friends. And Ao'nung likes to think that friends warn each other when the incoming older sibling is the definition of Husband Material so the first time they meet isnt with Ao'nung sweaty and messy from practice. Ao’nung grinned at the youngest Sully, sliding off of the mount finally to wade his way over through the shallows.
“Come now, Tuk. I know nobody wants to share Neteyam, but I only stole him for a little bit.”Tuk wrinkled her nose at the water Navi, “You stole him for chores. That’s like, the worst way to steal someone. You're a bad thief.”
Neteyam couldn’t help the small laugh that left him, leaning his head forward to rest on Tuk’s shoulder as his own shoulders shook. The small Navi wrapped her arms around her brothers head, fingers gently carding through his braids. If Ao’nung was a little jealous that was his business.

Summary
Thanatos takes him away when he can. Not far and not for long, of course, but together they venture into the Underworld, seeing the domain that is Zagreus’ by birthright and yet is unfamiliar to him as the moon. He has to work twice as hard to allow for the respites and, while he doesn’t particularly enjoy the feeling of eternally playing catch-up, he suffers it for Zagreus’ sake.
He would suffer many things to bring Zagreus a measure of peace, he thinks.

Where Thanatos keeps stealing Zagreus away for short trips around the Underworld, against his own better judgement.

"Thank you," he murmurs, and Than can feel the warm puff of air across his lips. "Thank you for taking care of me. I'd be drowned in the Styx if it weren't for you."
Thanatos pulls away slightly and trails his fingers down Zagreus's face until they're tucked under his chin, tilting it forwards. "You're always taking care of me, Zag. Always so sweet, so kind, so good." Zag's breath hitches and he hears it, knowing the effect his words have on him. "So, Zag, would you let me take care of you now?" He feels the gold blush high across his cheekbones, keeps his eyes focused on Zagreus's lips in front of him, watches them move as Zagreus replies:
"Please."
(Or Thanatos takes care of Zagreus and I end up occasionally switching to Zag's perspective so I can write a love letter to Thanatos.)

“Okay.” Stiles glanced at his phone, wincing at the battery being close to ten percent. It was probably time to call Scott. Turning off the flashlight, mostly to save battery and kind of freaking out over how dark it was—though the half-moon reflecting off the snow helped a bit—he opened his contacts with shaking hands and scrolled through to Scott’s name. Once he hit it, he put the phone to his ear, looking around, and froze.
The phone rang in his ear, but his eyes were locked on something big and moving through the trees.
Oh no. Oh no, no, no.
If that was a fucking bear, Stiles was fucked!
The line kept ringing and ringing, but Scott didn’t answer. Eventually his voicemail picked up and Stiles very slowly lowered the phone and hung up without looking, eyes still on the dark shape in the trees. He glanced down for only a second to turn on the flashlight function again, then lifted it ever so slowly upwards, and felt his breath freeze in his lungs.
It was a wolf.
It was a motherfucking wolf.
