If Jinu notices the tears she's wiping away, he doesn't say anything his eyebrows just etching in concern. He reaches out cupping the side of her cheek with one hand and pulling her hand away from her face with the other. "I'm serious". Jinu insists, Rumi just looks to the ground but doesn't brush him off again.

Summary
The Idol Awards leave Rumi with an emptiness lingering inside. Losing Jinu had affected her a lot more than she originally thought it would have. Just when she feels ready to move on, her entire world is shifted again.
The world gives her back Jinu, but at a cost: he doesn't remember anything about her. Like all the events in the two weeks before the Idol Awards had suddenly just been erased altogether.
Rumi becomes determined to grant him his memories back, no matter what, while Jinu must live with through falling in love with Rumi all over again.

After saving the world, Rumi thought she was done. She, Mira, and Zoey had beaten Gwi-Ma, driven back the darkness, restored the Honmoon – what more could anyone ask? They were back together, stronger than ever, and if she was still mourning Jinu, if they hadn't been able to produce a single hit in the months since the fight... well, it'd come, right?
But then Derpy shows up with a broken pipa in his mouth, a pipa just like the one Jinu described owning once upon a time. And Rumi begins to wonder if, somehow, he survived.
If she wants to find out the truth, she'll have to venture to the demon world, where greater danger exists than she's ever faced before. Gwi-Ma is the least of it – her own history and the patterns etched into her skin are equally treacherous to navigate, even with the support of Huntrix behind her. But, if she can become who she's truly meant to be, the rewards might be equally great.

Happy endings are for fairy tales, the ones they make up to reassure children, much unlike the way a considerable amount of folklore ends in tragedy, a bit too much akin to what Rumi has known her whole life. Fate has another thing coming for it if that's the story it wants; she was taught to fight as soon as she could walk, and she's not about to back down now.
Or, in which the author delves into life after the events of the movie, wherein Rumi and Jinu fight for their happy ending, learning and growing together and discovering what it means to be human, together.

Summary
In the end, it was Jinu’s worst sin that he destroyed and betrayed himself for nothing. And for that, he was worth no forgiveness, no heavenly reprieve to save him from a hell of his own making. He deserved to rot in the flames for eternity, the flames licking at his skin, blistered and damaged.
He felt grateful when, after his sacrifice, he found himself back in the same spot, kneeling in front of Gwi-Ma, his voice silent, once again begging to end the pain. It was kindness when Gwi-Ma mocked him, destroying him from the inside out. After all, Jinu’s sacrifice was made with a selfish origin; he was only atoning for his own mistakes.
Or...
After sacrificing himself to Gwi-Ma to save Rumi, Jinu is tortured for his failure. After escaping, it's up to Rumi to put the pieces back together.

Rumi is an idol still dealing with the scattered memories of her mother's passing. Deep scars remind her daily of the day she lost her, and each day she's taking a step at a time in recovering. The nightmares are still there and some days are easier than others, but she's got those she can rely on who aid her through the daily struggles. Especially her best friends, who double as her fellow members of Huntrix.
Jinu is starting his journey as an idol, but his past is one he is still struggling to overcome. Fame and fortune are hard to juggle while trying your best to give your little sister the best normal life she deserves. All he wants is to provide for her and never let her feel struggle ever again. He's got habits from his past life he's still holding onto, but he's trying all the same. He's grateful for becoming a Saja Boy, especially as the other members have taken his sister in with open arms, but he struggles with the changes nonetheless.
But when the two cross paths, will they be able to teach each other a thing a two? Maybe they will even learn new things about this demon called life together.
After all, they both know all too well that family is more than just blood.
