Summary
In October of 1981, three secret keepers flee Godric's Hollow in the middle of the night for parts unknown, but Sirius finds he's got more than one secret to carry when a one-night stand with Remus leaves him pregnant, alone, and in hiding. When the war ends a year and a half later and Remus finds Sirius again after his own exile in Mongolia, how will they piece together a life with a child thrown into the mix? Will they finally admit their feelings to each other?

Summary
During a night out alone, Sirius is drawn into the orbit of a man he's never met before—someone he usually wouldn't be into—but something about his rough exterior is pulling him in. It’s a Friday afternoon. On Fridays, Sirius goes to the pub with his friend James. James sometimes brings his wife along, and sometimes just countless pictures of his son. Sirius sees the kid at least twice a week but still he looks at each photo as if it were a great treasure.
Remus goes in fifteen minutes after them, sometimes half an hour. Sometimes he doesn’t go in at all and sits in his car instead, waiting for the bartender to call last orders. Twice he felt brave and sent a drink to Sirius’ table, but left before it was delivered. Both times the bartender told him the same: this is a pub, mate. You want to talk to him, go talk to him, I ain’t doing table service.

“Oh?” Sirius asked. He ran one hand through his hair, leaned over to the side, and felt his t-shirt slip further down, exposing more of his collarbone.

The sound of the world drops away, and Remus is extending both of his hands. On the top of each palm is a hearing aid. The other man’s mouth moves for a few more words, but Remus isn’t sure what he’s saying—he’s never been all that great at lipreading. When his pale-colored eyes stumble over his outstretched hands, his face grows flushed. Finally, mercifully, he shuts up.

Sirius craned towards the box and peeled open the lid. He took a large bite, and Remus saw the faint spark of purple confetti and opened his mouth to say something when Sirius turned to him, “Remus, do you want half-?”
His face went slightly dopey for a moment, his pupils dilating slightly. A rush of pink smoke steamed out of his ears.
“Merlin, Moons,” Sirius breathed, his voice low,” You are beautiful, y’know.”
